Black Lives Matter Protesters Take Over Stage At The Montreal International Jazz Festival

Submitted by: doiknowyou 3 months ago in News & Politics

The Montreal Gazzette reports today that a group of Black Lives Matter protesters took over a stage at the Montreal Jazz Fest to protest against police brutality following the recent killing, by Montreal police, of a Haitian man with a mental illness. Contrary to outcomes at American BLM protests, organizers let the pacific protesters pass their message in peace.

The point of this post was to illustrate the current state of protests in Canada. Peaceful protesters go on stage during the sound check at a popular festival, the cops let them get their message across, protesters exit the stage to let the show go on and go on a peaceful march. Nobody causes a ruckus and their message gets delivered.

Black Lives Matter movement is about as cause worthy as the movement I take each AM in the loo.

Black Lives Matter is an racist, terrorist organization.
Started out well enough, devolved rapidly.

I've been told I'm a pretty good Miles impersonator.

Not by looks. I'm whiter than Whitey McWhiterton.

But by ability to emulate playing style.

Yeah, right - I go to a jazz concert to hear about some criminals who resisted arrest.

Pffttt. Learn your history Montrealers, go back to the roots of jazz.  The genesis is Kenny G who is quite a whitey, Jewish in fact.
But seriously, There is a daily protest in Montreal everyday.  It's just how they roll.  Still it's a pretty fun city to spend time in, lots to do.
