Candy Waters is a 16-year-old girl with autism. She is nonverbal. For years, she has been hailed for her unique, colorful art in various forums and sites dedicated to parents of children with autism.
Her mother, Sandy (pictured) sells her art on Zazzle where you have the choice of buying "Candy's artwork" on shoes, shirts, yoga pants, canvases -- Sandy even created a book that they are now selling on Amazon.
Recently, people started suggesting that maybe Candy wasn't creating the art at all. Maybe her mother Sandy was the actual artist. Of course, Sandy denies it, but whenever anyone questions anything on her page, she deletes and blocks that person.
There are sites dedicated to exposing Sandy of exploiting her daughter, but as long as she keeps deleting the comments that question the art's authenticity, she'll keep making money hand over fist off the back of her child.
