According to the BBC, a group of angry zoo investors have fed a live donkey to tigers at a Chinese zoo after a dispute with management. The animal struggled in the water for 30 minutes while the tigers tore it to pieces.
"While many expressed outrage at the contents of the video, shocking scenes are relatively common at zoos and safaris in China.
Visitors to a tiger farm in the north-eastern city of Harbin are able to witness tigers eat cows, and they can also pay 60 yuan (£6.80) for live chickens to be thrown into the enclosures for "entertainment."
However, the brutality of the video of the live donkey has sparked a furious response on the Chinese Internet.
"Why are humans always worse than animals," said one angry comment on Sina Weibo, China’s version of Twitter.
