This Trump Bro Was Arrested After Screaming Racist Slurs At A Muslim Family On A Texas Beach

Submitted by: fancylad 6 months ago in News & Politics

See the guy in the mugshot up above? That's Alexander Downin of Waterford, Connecticut -- he's a racist and the prototype Trump bro. He's a big man in the video down below, but when his racist tirade agains a Muslim family on vacation got him arrested, be cried like a bitch. Let's hope he has something to lose.

The scene took place at  South Padre Island, Texas, on May 2 -- Noria Alward, 19, was enjoying a vacation with her family at the South Padre Pearl Hotel when young Downin started shouting slurs at her family. She caught it on tape, and the rest, they say, is racist history...

This has about as much to do with Trump as his being from Connecticut, is this the way people from Connecticut act, probably not. A jerk is a jerk and in the morning he will be sorry for his stupidity. Not one person that I know or have met that are Trump supporters would have done anything like this.

DerryNH Question for ya derry, why didnt you say anything to dromed when he said "Way to stay classy black america"?

Perhaps you just didn't see that one?  Have you noticed that whenever a black person is shown in some IAB page (in a negative light normally) SOMEONE will cast aspersions upon black people as a whole..

AND NO ONE SAYS JACK SHIT..

Now why do you think that is Derry?

daegog The point made by @ is valid.  Don't judge an entire group by the actions of a single person. We don't have to search out and comment on every effing thing that happens just to please the trolls; the sooner you accept that, the sooner you will find your zen.

No, I have been here quite a lot and I have never once noticed that. Not anyone saying that stuff, and therefor (logically) no one said anything about it, because it never happened.

I have noticed hundreds of times when white people are involved tho. Just replace 'black' with 'white' and your statement is highly (but not 100%) accurate. As is? Very wrong IMHO.

So he is a drunken ass-hole...What he did was awful, hopefully he regreted his actions in the morning, and deserves the consequences of his actions that come his way....I am not making excuses for this ass-hole, however if the roles were reversed...If it was a Minority/liberal that did this to some trump supporting family. This would be considered free speech, and the police would be falsely arresting the man for his "free speech." Ya know..Like the liberals who keep rioting in the streets and vandalized other people's property when someone doesn't agree with their point of view..Those liberal guys/gals are abusing ugh...I mean excersising their right to free speech..Right? Nice try with the "Trump bro" though..Because this whole shit storm can fly both ways....People are acting like dicks on both sides...

I haven't watched the video, but videos never tell the whole story anyway, they are usually edited down so you only see one side. That being said, if this guy got arrested for speaking his mind, then there's something wrong with that.

I am guessing he got arrested for other reasons. No one gets arrested for free speech. He may have been trespassing, or asked to leave and didn't, or was threatening physical violence, but I doubt he got arrested for practicing his First Amendment rights.

As the saying goes, I might not like what you say, but I will fight to my death for your right to say it.

My guess would be disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct, public intoxication - maybe resisting arrest.
It's one thing to speak your mind, quite another to be threatening about it - and this guy was threatening in manner.
We do have free speech here, in America, but freedoms come with responsibilities, and THAT'S the part most people choose to forget.

This guy is crazy and there is no reason for his lunacy.

But, if it had been a liberal arrested for doing the same thing to a non-protected demographic, then fancylad would have "boiled it down" to 'American arrested for practicing free speech'.  (see Reporter Dan Heyman Is Arrested For Questioning Trump's Health Secretary Tom Price post, where he 'boils it down' from 'pushing through secret service' to 'asking a simple question')

megrendel Agreed.  A "Trump-bro"(as fancy likes to put it, does something wrong and it's the worst thing in the world.  A liberal reporter does something wrong and it's somehow Trump's fault.

Really, why did "Trump bro" need to be brought in to it at all.  It was just some idiot who got drunk, did something stupid and then regretted it later.  This happens all the time.  It's news-worthy because it was a Trump supporter that yelled something about Trump and made racist remarks though?  Why isn't every single drunk mistake news worthy?

Do you deny the guy in this video, the guy creating a disturbance, swearing and acting the fool in front of children, was out of line? That his rather limited view on the several topics he was screaming about are ... less than reasonable?

captkangaroo Please read the first line of my response.   Yes, he was creating a disturbance and acting the fool.  He was out of line, not reasonable, belligerent and I'm, in no way, saying that his arrest was out of line.  He was attacking those people and should have been removed.

My point is, that Dan Heyman was also creating a disturbance and acing the fool...yet fancylad decided to 'boil it down'  as 'arrested for asking a question'.

Fancy tends to post things with a particular slant with no basis in the facts.  He could 'boil down' Trump curing cancer to 'Trump puts pharma out of business.'

I read and understood your response the first time - all too well, actually.
Do you believe the people in both instances were creating a disturbance in the same manner and to the same degree?
Do you believe that a private citizen with their family, enjoying a seaside outing has the same degree of protection against a disturbance as a public servant in a governmental setting does? And by the by, while I think it deplorable, whatever getup one chooses to wear to a confirmation hearing is not a disturbance. Someone's reaction to it may be, but then that's the person you deal with.
All in al, it was wrong to arrest the laugher, it was ludicrous to find the laugher guilty, and the guy on the beach needs his ass kicked.

Male 8,770
captkangaroo Okay, now you're talking about a THIRD case.    And, as much with fancylad and the Dan Heyman story, you're misrepresenting the code pink activist story.

Desiree Fairooz was asked to leave the confirmation hearing for her outbreak of laughter but was not arrested until she “created a scene” by shouting that Sessions was evil as security guards escorted her from the chamber, according to charges by the U.S. Attorney’s office in D.C.

So ... She did not create a disturbance until AFTER her rights were trampled on. Got it, thanks.
0
Reply
Male 8,770
captkangaroo as she does not have a right to disrupt hearings, escorting her out for doing so does not infringe on her rights.

So, to get it straight:
  • Braying laughter will get you an invitation to leave.
  • Becoming a belligerent asswipe will get you arrested.
  • Ergo: the "arrested for laughing" missrepresentation is bs.

captkangaroo Pushing through trained security is FAR more threatening and dangerous that standing around yelling while drunk.
You know what almost happened to Gerald Ford? What DID happen to Reagan? The SS take their duties very seriously.

Are you claiming the police did nothing here? I think they acted appropriately and in proportion, same as the SS did.
Are you claiming the President should have NO PROTECTION AT ALL except the ordinary police and 911? Think a moment please...

What this idiot did is:
1. Not acceptable (he was justly charged with an offense)
2. In no way shape or form related to Trump.

I am quite sure the Schutzstaffel take themselves seriously - when they ain't chasing poon in some South American nation, that is - priorities, right? Protect the dicta - er, president, or get laid, hmmm, choices.

So yes, the President gets tons of security because tons of people out there would like to harm him (or her) that's why! How is that "fascism" are you fucking serious? This level cannot be provided to every single citizen in America, even you can agree with that eh?

Ford was never in any danger from squeaky. But she was a deluded nutbag. Hinckley was  pretty hincky too.
Pretty sure the guv'mnt was in on the others.
By your metric the guy that threw his shoe at Bush should have been executed.
I brought up fascism for 2 reasons; You people that want to clamp down for the sake of security, while being vile cowards, are eroding our freedoms. The very same freedoms we are wasting American lives and money on elsewhere in the world. You also referred to the secret service as the SS - very telling.
I do not think our politicians should be afforded that level of security. Maybe if their lives - and the lives of their loved ones(If the sociopathic narcissists have 'em) were on the line - as ours are - from their shitty decisions, maybe they'd start making better ones.

SS = Secret Service, and a hell of a lot of other things, like Social Security. For fuck's sake, the Nazis do NOT own a copyright on those two letters! Grow up already.

On one hand you say it was harmless kooks shooting American Presidents... I'm sure Reagan had a good laugh when he found out the reason why he was shot and nearly died... or not!
Then you think it's the fault of the President who got shot? Blame the victim? Or just put Presidents out there for the slaughter? Their families too? Shake yourself awake dude...

5cats If a liberal acts like all conservatives are the same, he/she has no right to complain when a conservative acts that way. Same goes both ways. You often state your opinions, and I have often objected to it, in a way that shows you to be considering all liberals equal to the far end, radical nutcases. If that's not really how you feel then you need to be a bit more moderate in the way you state your opinions. For instance, you seem to equate anyone who believes that there is a possibly significant human contribution to global warming to those few who feel that global warming is proven to be absolutely completely and entirely caused by human activity. If you're going to continue to group us all like that, you have no right to complain about those who treat you similarly. That's like punching a guy in the face and then complaining when he hits you back.

As for AGW? If you believe there "might be human influence" you are a SKEPTIC just like me! So I use explicit and exact words: AGW Zealots ALL believe in 100% human-caused global warming climate change. If not? They are Skeptics, and will be attacked by the AGW crowd. Simple really.

There was a series of surveys, world-wide, and collectively they reveal that about 25% of all Muslims support Jihad and Sharia Law enforced on other religions. PEW is the likely source, like Fojos said, that rings a bell.

Here: http://www.bing.com/search?q=pew+polls+muslim+jihad+support&qs=n&form=QBLH&sp=-1&pq=pew+polls+mus&sc=0-13&sk=&cvid=3C64AF5C24EB4494A7A5219ABCD0586B

A huge series of world-wide surveys a few years back found roughly 25% of all Muslims supported Jihad to one degree or another. Many extremely. 1.5B / 4 is a little over 300M...
