Brandon Vezmar, 37, is suing an unnamed woman, 35, after she texted between 10 and 20 times 15-minutes into their first date at the Alamo Drafthouse.
"It was kind of a first date from hell," he said. About 15 minutes after the movie began, Vezmar said, his date, who he met online, started texting on her phone. "This is like one of my biggest pet peeves!"
Vezmar said he asked her to stop, as he was worried about getting kicked out of the theater, but she refused. Vezmar then suggested she go outside to text... she left the theater, and never returned. He's suing for $17.31 for the cost of the tickets.
It should also be known that the Alamo is notoriously hard-assed about phones in their theaters. They banned Madonna for the very same thing.
