This Anti-Bullfighting Commercial Delivers Its Message With CGI'd Velociraptor

Submitted by: fancylad 3 weeks ago in Misc

A little gruesome for a public service announcement, but bullfighting is a nasty sport, isn't it.

Make it real! Make it real!!

Also - use Tyrannosaurus Rex's and Mechwarriors instead    :D

Why is this not a real sport? It'd be worth pay per view with velociraptors, expecially if there was a 50:50 chance of them disemboweling the raptor-fighters. I say let's increase funding for science and make this happen!

Represent an extinct species based on Hollywood movies rather than on science? Check.
Get a name based on a music file format? Check.
Spend our annual budget on CGI? Check.
Judging a latin catholic culture based on Anglo-Saxon protestant principles? Priceless.

m3dm3d Having hundreds of thousands of people seeing your ad, discussing it, and sharing it online bringing massive attention to your cause? Worth every penny.

dm2754  One of the worst things i have ever witnessed, went to Mexico in high school, the people responsible for the tour told our teacher and chaparones that the bull would not be killed that it was a "matinee"  and so ok for children (well we were teenagers)  They should have killed him to put him out of his misery.  Blood every where while people were eating lunch.  Teacher and parents were understandably pissed!!

trimble Totally agree. Would you say the same about hunters? Particularly big game hunters?

thezigrat The somewhat reasonable counter argument is that the money people pay to legally hunt big game is a huge source of funding to fight poaching and preserve wildlife.

holygod Can't they just donate the money rather than having to murder innocent animals in order to stroke their own egos?

thezigrat  Called culling the herd and if its not done the animals over populate and cause environmental and physical harm to the animals with illness and over use of there food source in the case of herbivores, and over hunting with meat eaters when properly maintained there is a balance as in nature, that is not to say that there are not abuses and miss steps that is why states and governments maintain wild life agencies. In this shrinking world of habitat its up to man to maintain wild life.

casaledana That's fine however Hunters tend to choose the best of the species to kill, thus leaving those with inferior genes to pass them on and causing the herd to become less and less fit. Predator animals tend to choose the weakest, most infirm of the herd
to kill (those easiest and less able to put up a fight) thus strengthening the herd in the long run

casaledana Good points if we are talking about North American deer but I don't believe the giraffe, elephant etc. herds need much culling.
