:shrugs: I knew all that stuff. All of it, especially the caveman parts.

We conservatives have our core beliefs challenged every time we look at a newspaper or turn on the TV. Even ESPN is hard-left these days (and dropping viewers like crazy since they changed eh?). It's nothing new to us to have our beliefs questioned, that's why our beliefs are harder to change: because a- they're tested hundreds of times and b- they're found to be correct hundreds of times.

Slave teeth? It's not like George went out with some plyers and pulled them for his amusement, eh? There's various ways the 'dentists' at the time got them.
The wooden teeth were either temporary ones or models used to make better replacements, out of ivory or animal bones, it was common back then.
The spring hinges? STILL USED TO THIS DAY. Why would that shock anyone? Unless they had no idea I guess...

Maybe Oatmeal was... lying about the MRI Study!! O_o! lolz! (I read it before, so I think it's true, but he doesn't link sources eh? I found that amusing!)

Still, a pretty good outing from a talented artist.

I have always maintain that it is almost impossible to persuade someone who has made up their mind, that being said, sitting on the fence is not such a bad thing, unless the fence is electrified.

fuad119 Sitting on the fence is still a belief :p And yeah, only that other person can decide to change, you cannot 'make them' believe anything.

I discussed AGW with someone who firmly believed that the heat given off by 7 billion humans was destroying the Earth... not our gasses or our actions, just the body heat we give off. And this was part of the proof of why humans were 100% 'causing' ALL Global Warming. He wasn't joking...

I always knew they were Ivory but I thought they were whale not Donkey, hippo and horse, (yuck) Also did you know they were spring loaded to open, he had to constantly clinch his jaw to keep them closed and it was painful for him to talk??

This was lovely. I honestly don't feel like I have core beliefs like this. Every belief I have, that I can think of, is based on perceived logic or evidence. If that logic or evidence changes my opinion changes. I don't attach an emotional response to political issues. Although, I don't really attach an emotional response to anything, so maybe there is something wrong with my brain.
