Looks like McFarlane will be playing Ed to Shatner's James T. Kirk.

rumham I like Seth McFarlane but his movies don't do well at the box office. I don't think anyone would star him in a movie again.  TED was good, but he didn't star in it, just the voice.

Galaxy Quest was a great, funny movie but you can't sustain a series solely on parody.  If you can do the equivalent of M*A*S*H in space, then it might work - but you need very strong writing. Cheers in space would be awful.

I hope this is a great show, or even just a good one. But usually space-comedies don't do very well in ratings. Not on TV anyway.

rumham  Many, for every Red Dwarf there are 10 "It's About Time" or "Hyperdrive". Anybody remember "Homeboys In Outer Space" or "Quark"?  No 'cause they sucked

rumham Red Dwarf.  Of course there is Futurama that was excellent too.

because this is the one thing star trek has been missing, a season doing nothing but making a joke of the entire series, poorly
