Are Democrats Sure They Want Maxine Waters As Their Next Democrat Presidential Candidate?

Submitted by: 5cats 1 year ago in News & Politics

When asked Maxine Waters to explain what democrats stand for, a simple question asked by the hard-hitting completely biased MSNBC anchor Katy Tur, Waters hemmed and hawed and babbled, as she so often does.

It's a simple, softball question, and she has this much trouble formulating an answer? How is this woman given the slightest chance of becoming the Democrat nominee for President in 2020? A walking pile of racism, corruption, graft, conspiracies and all-around stupidity. She's the embodiment of the Democrat Party now? Really? How has she been elected 13 times to Congress in the first place?

Here she is admitting there is NO evidence at all that Russia did ANYTHING to help Trump. Yet she keeps "doubling down" and insists Putin himself wrote some of Trump's speeches. Unbelievable, yet there it is. And here's a brief list of her history of crime, corruption and immorality (and a little more reading if you're interested).

"Are Democrats Sure They Want Maxine Waters As Their Next Democrat Presidential Candidate?"

Salon posts a "5 reasons Maxine should run for president" article that gets picked up by a bunch of conservative sites, and that translates to you that the Democrats want Maxine to run? This is quite the stretch even for you.

markust123 Many have placed her as a possible candidate, she has many supporters who are Democrats.
I did not say she had already won the support of the DNC and was their candidate, just that SOME Democrats think she's a viable nominee.

You really have reading comprehension issues, don't you. The fact that Salon is reporting it suggests it is a real thing, yes? That some (not all) Democrats think this. Or are you accusing Salon of being 'part of the vast, right-wing conspiracy' now?

fancylad, I think you should split the category 'news and politics' in half.

News:
* Mad wanker trying to kill a power ranger - I can go with that being news, dumb shit news but okay.
* Mental bitch marries a building that Thomas the Tank engine masturbates in at night - Guess that is news also - shit, but technically news.

Politics:
Basically anything else in the category that either 5cats posted (or wanked himself to sleep over) or anything involving a penis wearing a blonde murkin on its head.

While your at it, perhaps a world news category where the rest of the civil world (doesnt include me!) can catch information that is relevant to the other 7.25 billion people that dont give a shit if the US of aMerkins implodes on itself and looks like a shit taken by a prolifer after being fed an abortion that was blended with camel jizz and fed to them with straws.

keep up the good work :)

This is simple. The democrat party will choose someone...anyone to run against Trump (or Pence pending Trump's impeachment). That person will win. So long as the democrats will not make the same mistake it did when forcing Hillary on the voters, Trump will have been the best thing to happen to the democratic party ever.

toetagmodel2 I wish I had your confidence in the intellect of the American voter.  I was certain that even as flawed as Hillary was, there wasn't a chance America would allow Trump to be president.  I was wrong.  America IS that dumb.  The only solace I can take in these tremendously dark times is the silent prayer I said just before I fell asleep on election night.  I'm not a religious person at all, but I guess I was hedging my bets and prayed that whomever was elected, when all was said and done, this country would be on the right path, and that this country would be better for it. I knew then, that neither of the 2016 candidates could have made thing better in their respective administrations.   Hillary had far too much baggage, and Trump is just grotesquely inept.  My hope is that voters will wake up after this long, national nightmare and finally clean house. They'll vote out the Kool-aid drinking Reps in the congress and senate - regardless of party affiliation - and elect a president who is qualified to lead this country.

I am on the fence about a Trump impeachment/removal from office.  I think things would get really bad if that happens.  And I do not trust Pence to be any better than Trump.  So I'm bracing for 4 years of horror, capped by a cleaned house and a fresh start.

toetagmodel2 Trump won't be impeached.  Trump will win again, and the republican candidate after him will win.  The democrats are far too weak.

So what does the Democrat Party stand for? Is it just 'anti-Trump' and nothing else now? Not even I believe the party has sunk that low yet... but a potential leader says um, hum, Trump!!

I'm sure we could go with just defending basic liberties - You know those things in the Constitution, the first amendment for instance.

Trump's just an easy target because he emulates almost everything it is to be an UNAMERICAN fool. You could almost call him a foreigner of the American dream. He was giving everything to him with a silver-spoon and still cries as if the world isn't fair.

Cronyism and thuggery will be the republican downfall if they fail to defend our most basic rights.

Also, With the 45th's low vocabulary skills and inability to finish sentences without going off topic, Just seems pretty petty to question a congresswoman's verbatim transcript of a news broadcast.

Yeah, for most Liberals that defense of basic rights comes to screeching halt when someone uses their first amendment right to say anything they disagree with. (And let's not even mention the flaming hysterics they go into when someone tries to defend their second amendment rights.)

megrendel And here comes your grand delusion... They're coming for my guns - No one took away your guns!

While on the otherhand almost daily 1st amendment rights are being infringed.

*Politicians body-slamming reporters
(Freedom of the Press)
*Peaceful protesters being attacked outside of the turkey embassy.
*States pending laws to make it illegal to peacefully assemble
(Peacefully assemble.)
*Net-neutrality: removal of Title II protections of the internet
(Free exercise of Freedom of Speech)

xigris You think they've stopped trying? Lolz, that's very funny. It is a basic Democrat Party platform to take legal guns away from law-abiding citizens.

xigris come on xigris, even you have to admit that fighting the second amendment is one of Liberals' past times.

And, speaking of the first amendment, why didn't you list the many conservative speakers being denied their first amendment rights when trying to speak on college campuses? To the point of leftist violence at times.

xigris There are dozens of videos of  Maxine saying some amazingly stupid shit. This is her, this is how she talks, why is a literal complete transcript "unfair" in any way?

And you just talked about what the Dems stand for... by attacking the Repubs! I guess you'll be voting for Maxine then eh?

normalfreak2 Indeed.  This would seem to be the sacrificial lamb put out first.  Let her get all banged up in the melee, then put forth a legitimate candidate who will seem like a godsend after a few moths of Maxine

dkm458 Lots of 'early candidates' never even run of course, it's just speculation.
But for her to even be considered? Flabbergasting. What has the Dem Party become if THIS is even a remote possibility of their candidate?
Why is she even allowed to remain IN the party? Because of her skin colour? If any white person said the shit she says? They'd be out in a heartbeat.

normalfreak2 A heck of a lot of people, apparently.
Those who noticed that Warren and Feinstein are completely un-electable but still demand a female candidate perhaps? They'll harvest the Black vote, they think, although I'm sure that MOST Black folks outside of her riding are just as disgusted with her as I am...

There is a LOT more videos and news items about here than this, she's literally a walking pile of corruption mixed with stupidity. Rather like Joe Biden I guess...

MY PERSONAL FAVORITE

Look, having nuclear—my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart—you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I’m one of the smartest people anywhere in the world—it’s true!—but when you’re a conservative Republican they try—oh, do they do a number—that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune—you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged—but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me—it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are (nuclear is powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what’s going to happen and he was right—who would have thought?), but when you look at what’s going on with the four prisoners—now it used to be three, now it’s four—but when it was three and even now, I would have said it’s all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don’t, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years—but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us.

pleasestop this isn't about Trump, CuntCuntyCunterson! You've somehow proven my point and ruined your own. Conservatives have all the smarts, best people on our team, and you're just sad, pathetically sad, miserably sad that you've got Maxine Waters and idiots (sorry to repeat myself. YOU HAVE TO ADMIT IT'S CLEVER NOW! HELLO? IS THIS THING ON?!) that you would stoop to bringing up relevant, contrary evidence to the point I'm trying to make obviously (somehow) means that you've exhausted reason and are attacking and stalking me personally. ShitCuntPissFlap, go fuck something, somehow! Can't believe how pathetic you (and not me, I mean, look at how composed and rational I am) and your little attempts at debate really are. There was no trend to the improving nature of the American economy, this is all Trump's work. He made things Great Again in the past 120+ days exclusively, trying to pin this success on the maturation of a previous administration's economic policies makes good sense and obeys logic and means you're ChangingTheSubjectPersonallyAttackingMeCuckSnowflakeFakeNewsTooStupidToReadYourPostBadSourceBenghazziEmails!!!! And also fuck you in the cunt.

AgamemnonTheGreat I have to say, the saddest realization I've made in trying to satirize the feline and his ilk is that, despite my best attempts at absurdity, I'm only half-a-heartbeat from actually saying the things they really say. It's a disservice to the conservative community that they're lumped in with competent, rational folks like Elkingo, and Megrendel. I think I'm going to start trying to make a concrete, definitive effort to remind myself that not all conservatives (very, very few, actually) are anything like the feline.

"I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created."

"Free trade is terrible. Free trade can be wonderful if you have smart people. But we have stupid people."

"[China] has bridges that make the [New York and New Jersey-spanning] George Washington Bridge look like small potatoes."

"When was the last time anybody saw us beating, let's say, China in a trade deal? They kill us. I beat China all the time. All the time. When did we beat Japan at anything? They send their cars over here by the millions, and what do we do? When was the last time you saw a Chevrolet in Tokyo? It doesn't exist, folks."

“Well he said, you’ll be the greatest president in the history of, but you know what, I’ll take that also, but that you could be. But he said, will be the greatest president but I would also accept the other. In other words, if you do your job, but I accept that. Then I watched him interviewed and it was like he never even was here. It’s incredible. I watched him interviewed a week later and it’s like he was never in my office. And you can even say that.”

pleasestop You must be awfully sad that the economy is doing great thus far. Crying in your teacup because 'new jobless' numbers are the lowest in some 40 years.
After 8 years of Obama destroying the economy, while you cheered, it must really bother you to see people & businesses starting to actually recover. Poor you!

5cats Facts dont matter to you at all do they?

http://money.cnn.com/2017/01/06/news/economy/obama-over-11-million-jobs/

"There's a dramatic difference between what Barack Obama was handed and what Donald Trump will be stepping into," says Mark Hamrick, senior economic analyst at Bankrate.com.

He took office in January 2009 -- in the depths of the Great Recession -- when the U.S. was bleeding nearly 800,000 jobs a month. It was the worst economic hole America had seen since the Great Depression of the 1930s.

Meanwhile job growth has begun to stagnate under Trump.
