It's been around 36 hours since Chris Cornell was found dead in his Detroit hotel, just hours after a Soundgarden performance at the Fox Theater. It's been confirmed that he was found with a strap of some sort around his neck and he did commit suicide, but now his wife is saying there's more at factor here.
Vicky Cornell says she spoke with Chris two times before the Detroit concert and that he was cheerful, happy, and was making plans for an upcoming Memorial Day vacation. She did however say his speech was slurred, and he eventually told her that he "may have taken an extra Ativan or two."
As someone who has said in many interviews that struggled with lifetime depression and suicidal thoughts, why was Cornell taking a drug that's known for inducing paranoia and depression?
