Submitted by: normalfreak2 11 months ago in News & Politics

Here are his promises some kept some he broke -- you can track every one at Track Trump

Anyone else notice that the D rating is consistently the least popular choice. I don't know what that means. But I find it interesting nonetheless.

trimble Great!  I saved 15% on my car insurance by bundling with my Home insurance.  Only if Trump had anything to do with it

normalfreak2 Like it or not just the thought of this presidency over the last one, or the one we could have had, has had a profoundly positive effect on the market.

trimble I've pointed it out before, Presidents get too much credit positive or negative for the economy.  The market's started jumping up in October 2016 and that was before the election.  I'd argue the conditions that were set for a huge rebound regardless of the President, but that's my opinion.

normalfreak2 Yes, yes, yes. The business cycle comes and goes regardless of political policy. The president is so far removed from economic decisions, that its akin to blaming a butterfly for a hurricane.

trimble unfortunately, that's the only positive effect this presidency has had on anything.

ricks Agreed to a certain extent but it is early on and I haven't really seen much negative effect either. I understand the hopelessly biased don't like that but that's just the way it is. I applaud his SCOTUS nomination.

johncourage I think you're likely correct. I also think we are likely worsening a natural process and probably significantly so. Needs study.

One could say, since Cs & Ds aren't failed grades that, combined, he has a 76% approval rating.
If you can't win it spin it

He's done quite a bit of damage in this first half of his presidency.

Its going better than I thought, but that's because my expectations were REALLY low. Outside of just being a general embarrassment for our country, nothing he has done (that I'm aware of) has adversely affected me in any significant way.
