Has Anyone Else Seen This Shocking Clip From "Star Trek: Enterprise?"

Submitted by: thezigrat 1 month ago in Entertainment

How the hell did they get this extreme clip past the censors? I think it was cut from the show for obvious reasons. I present the Destruction of the Enterprise!

Extremely violent and not for the faint of heart so be warned, Gerry1of1.

Well, good on you. I'd have been far too ashamed to ever admit I'd been watching this.

How did it get past the censors? Is it because a 7 year old could watch it?

Also, in the 31st century or a galaxy far, far away or whatever it is, why have they not thought of a better way of putting out fires than those crappy fire extinguishers?

The whole series was excellent, especially the 3rd season.

Didn't see anything that hasn't been outdone in gore/violence by shows like Supernatural or Grimm.

Not extreme at all, well done though for what is quite often a very vanilla franchise.

They really shouldn't have constructed the ship out of galaxy note 7s, cheap hover boards, and ecigarettes...

I don't know why people rag on Enterprise.  It was a good show. It lasted a year longer than the original. And the 3rd season Xindi plot was EPIC

Gerry1of1 Ever notice how in the beginning Baculas' character was naive  and always trying to do "Good" but as the series went on his character grew darker and more willing to do things like throw people out air locks?

Gerry1of1

I never said it wasn't a good show. I said "People turning away from the opening theme, forgetting to turn back, killed the ratings."

Bakula selected the theme's composer. He also demanded references to his old work like having a character be named "Hoshi."

While Hoshi evolved into a pretty strong character, that theme is too easy-goin' and does not belong at the opening. The opening theme should have been symphonic.

I was really hoping the whole thing was leading to a Zefram Cochrane/Time Ship plot.

Gerry1of1 I would have liked to see as one of their last episodes a Quantum Leap episode where Becket warps into Archer

Gerry1of1 I know you do, man but, it's too mellow. That song is completely 'driving cross-country at sunset, holding hands with your SO.' It should have used, in-show, as something Archer played in his cabin.

Zigrat mentioned the Mirror theme. Something like it would have worked for Season 3.

I didn't see anything unusually violent or anything else that would be difficult to get "past the censors".  It certainly wasn't "extreme".

punko It's probably the first instance I can remember where a TV show has people being exploded into space with no hope of rescue. I'd seen it a movie, Star Trek: Generations, I think but, not a TV show.

squrlz4ever Speaking of which How did you get a King Sized bed into your warren when it only has a 4 inch opening. And for that matter a 42 inch TV too?

Well, if you're going to be all logical about it, I don't have a bed, least not a human-style one, king-size or otherwise. But if Jolene Blalock wants to spend the night, I would definitely be willing to steal one. Off a picnic table somewhere.

I can dream, can't I? *sobs*

Wait! I've got it! Never say die. Jolene, just have your people contact my people. We can do this.
