China Fears That There Could Be A North Korea-US War "At Any Moment"

Submitted by: fancylad 2 months ago in News & Politics

China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi is having the same concerns the rest of us are having -- is the US going to war with North Korea?

Yi's concerns come as Trump and the US voice increasing concern at North Korea's development of nuclear weapons. North Korea has accused Trump of "troublemaking" with "provocative" tweets and warned that "thermonuclear war may break out any moment."

Great... BUT HER EMAIL!

I don't mind dying, I just don't want to die because of Trump's inferiority complex. That said, there are a lot of, ahem, "things" on my bucket list I better start ticking off ASAP.

The only thing China fears is that the US won't pay it's debt to them.

I hope you Trumpsters realize the game being played here.  China doesn't want a Unified Korea, China and Russia have vested allies and interests in Kim being in power.  I URGE you to look at history.  WWI WWII were started with "relatively minor" global incidents.  The Slaying of Archduke Franz Ferdinan,  WWII Hitler Invaded and a conflict between China and Japan escalated there.

North Korea is that vessel into starting WWIII.  If we act, there's a high probability that  at LEAST half a million South Koreans will die in a nuclear detonation,  Millions of North Koreans will die from our Retaliation.  China with Russia as it's Ally may wish to Strike the US and I'm not sure if Putin is willing to take everyone down but this could be the start of something catastrophic.  Maybe we are about to see if Civilizations simple can't get past a certain level due to destroying themselves.....

normalfreak2 As a side note, here are the numbers for military spending: US=$598 billion. China and Russia combined=$212 billion.  Yes, you read it. China and Russia combined spend about 1/3 of the US in military expenditures.

melcervini This would be better illustrated as Kim not even being able to reach us.

normalfreak2 I think this was drawn for the previous kim lol, still fits.  We just need to send in a few elite teams to rid NK of their leaders, every last one.  Then begin the years-long truth-rehab (worth it) their people are going to need to join the 21st century.

melcervini That's not easy in the slightest.  First off, The country looks all like one type.  Outsiders will be spotted immediately.  Any hint of traitorous action is executed immediately.  We simply have no way to gather intel, we don't have an embassy, we don't have any intel from the inside.  We'd be going in completely blind.

normalfreak2 I suspect we have much more intel than 'us regular folk" realize and its a far better solution than bombing when its the ones running the show that need to assume room temperature, not the hundreds of thousands in prison camps/millions of starving korean citizens.  better than doing nothing. oh.. and fuck China.  :)

The biggest danger here is Kim's perception. He knows he will loose if it comes to war so his strategy is to do as much damage as possible as fast as possible. Intelligence services and defectors all say he will use what nukes he has as soon as he believes an attack is coming. Millions in South Korea and Japan will die including the American troops stationed in both countries.

We kept being told Hillary was the one going to lead us into foreign entanglements.  We are fast tracking our way into a Korea Conflict.  The scary part is not what North Korea can do to us, but the amount of destruction they will wrought on South Korea.

normalfreak2 THIS^  I have personal ties to South Korea...beautiful place, great people.  I can't imagine having a neighbor of such hate and destruction so close, looming over me every day.

Is that what Canada and Mexico fell like now?

kalron27 I get what you're saying and I'm no war monger by any means...but what about the millions of souls in N. Korea?  One could make an argument that nobody is really alive in that country.  How exactly..short of war is that situation going to change?  So many under the boot of oppression...so far under that they can't even conceive of another way.  Would you not give your life if your children could know better?  As for China...the problem is in YOUR neighborhood...why the fuck can't YOU do something about it?  Oh yeah...in many ways China isn't much better.

dromed I would prefer it if war and the showing of how big my dick is was not a part of the conversation...but apparently now it is again...

Human life is human life regardless of where you live.

dromed In addition to that, war has always been good for the economy.  North Korea is a dangerous place, they hate us and if they could they would probably attack us.  Something needs to be done about them and if that war will also help our economy, by all means, let's go to war.

waldo863 But N Korea would destroy Japan and S Korea in any war and bring China and likely Russia into any conflict which would more likely than not turn into a nuclear exchange
What good is a good economy when there are no people left to benefit from it?

taxidriver I would be proud of my children if they chose to join the military and died to make people lives better.  Yeah, it would suck losing them, but that's a choice they made and I'd rather them die a hero than getting hit by a texting driver.

Just about 2 months in and we are already poised to go to war on several fronts.  Here it comes kids, the part that we have all been waiting for, all out war between China, Russia and the US with Europe stuck in the middle.

I swear if this Cheeto gets us blown back to the stone ages for Tweets I'm going to leave this planet...

It's a pretty bad sign when China has higher ethics than the United States.

xigris you're confusing public image with actual concern. China is quite happy to be 'ethical' when it serves their interests, otherwise, they could care less.
