But can it whistle at all the cute chippies who walk by the construction site?

I don't see much saving in time.  A mason could work as fast and strike the mortar joint as well.

Kids just may want to start learning how to build, program, install & service industrial robots.

trimble Nah, they'll just build robots to do that.

Soon, robots will be building robots. Robots will be servicing robots. Robots will be producing things for robots.

Next thing you know, Fred Saberhagen was right: Berserkers

thezigrat It's been awhile, but I read all of the Berserker anthologies, including Berserker, The Ultimate Enemy, Berserker Wars, Berserker Base & Berserker Throne.

I believe that it was Berserker Base that had "A Teardrop Falls", which got me hooked on anything by Larry Niven.

thezigrat Anything by Niven and Pournelle is excellent. If you haven't already come across them I'd suggest "The Legacy of Heorot", "The Mote in God's Eye" and "Oath of Fealty"

And while the Ring World was excellent, I also greatly enjoyed "The Integral Trees" and "The Smoke Ring" by Niven.

And if you can, read ANY of Niven's anthologies.  "N-Space" has great short stories and his personal stories are hilarious.
