is it limited to 2 brands?
There are manny more brands than these two (Lentilky for example are quite popular here) incase i ever get bored enough to use i will likely use difrent brands than shown.

am i assuming correctly that it is sorted via mechanicall measurement or were those 2 holes just related to diffrent size of the product?

Honestly, if i ever get lazy enough that i need a machine to separate my food into color groups, i may need to question if i really need to be eating that snack.  Although, it is kind of calming to see a machine like this.

I wonder if it works on the holiday/special event colors to.

Wow I just went to the m&m's official website and it actually required age verification. I have no idea what would be on that site to require that, but I didn't bother looking.

Where was this when I was a kid?

Being the OCD kid that I was, I would segregate every bag of M&M's by color. And then would proceed to eat starting with the color there was the least of and work my way up. (Except for the light-brown ones, which I saved for last no matter how many.)

megrendel Oh no that isn't right at all. You have to eat the outstanding number of excess colors. Then proceed to eat down the rainbow one at a time; White, Peach, Pink, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Brown, Black like you were taught to organize your crayons in preschool. I thought everyone knew this...

Now, for the real question. Can it sort M&M's from Skittles?

skypirate That's a good idea, and feasible with little adaptations. Actually, this machine is an adaptation of an oyster sorter, switching the scale by a color recognition.
