An interesting observation. The symbol on the banners is that of the English Socialist Party (The real version of INGSOC) and note all the keys seem to have a brittish look about them. Makes one go HMMMM???

It doesn't sting.  These facts are well known.  It may shatter the illusions of some.

In short:

  1. Absolute power corrupts, absolutely
  2. The servants of the righteous must be as righteous as their masters
  3. Vetinari is a genius

punko I always enjoy videos of social structure and order. It may be well known, but by fewer than you think. Do you read any Chomsky?

theman01 Pratchett.  Just as accurate, but a whole lot funnier.

theman01 Nothing of the sort.  Chomsky had great things to say in political issues, but I've only read references to his work - not his work directly.  My reference was toward Pratchett who's work both references and satirises our own world in such a way to make the point and provide humour at the same time.
