Julia the autistic Muppet will join the Sesame Street gang this April, but she debuted last night in a "60 Minutes" interview with Christine Ferraro. 

Julia, the muppet with autism, will join the Sesame Street TV show in April, but she made an appearence last night on "60 Minutes" during an interview segment with Sesame Street writer Christine Ferraro.

I have two step children from a previous relationship..... twins.   love them to bits.

We found out ( quite recently) that one is on the autistic spectrum.     So.. turns out she's not just a moody little fecker like the other one at all.

This is cool. I wish the Julia character were actually plated by an autistic person but from what I've read it doesn't appear so.

trimble I believe the puppet's operator is the mother of an autistic child so I guess there is a bit of a link there.
