Sarah Silverman Gets A Weekly Political Show, Tomi Lahren Gets Fired From The Blaze

Submitted by: fancylad 2 months ago in Entertainment

Hulu announced earlier today that it will air a 10-episode show titled "I Love You, America" hosted by Sarah Silverman. The weekly half-hour topical show will focus on "current political/emotional landscape of the country." It's being produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay of Funny or Die so it's probably going to be great, but Silverman rubs lots of people the wrong way so I'm interested in seeing how this goes over.

On the opposite end of the employment spectrum, Tomi Lahren was first suspended, then "permanently banned" from her gig at The Blaze. Apparently, when Lahren said she was pro-choice while on The View, management at the conservative Blaze flipped.

If she continues to dress like that, I will be watching. With the sound off.

That a good look for Sarah. I'd throw in a ball-gag and go to town.

trimble yeah, ball gag is a must.  Her voice alone is a huge turn-off, never mind what she says.

Puhleeze - Best move for Tomi, ever.  Beck has shown that he is part of the establishment govt and really doesn't want any change.  He wants a status quo that he can make moeny off of.  I can't believe anyone would want to get their 'news' from a half assed commedian. Oh, wait. Colbert, Maher, Stewert...

"Next up on Silverman: We hear about what a pretty jewish princess Silverman is, before she shocks us with the fact she poops!"

She's lucky she's pretty, because her talent would have gotten her nowhere.

This could be a bad move by The Blaze, if freedom is your rallying cry and you fire someone for having a different opinion you look a bit hypocritical.

Does anyone care about the political views of an actress who's best roll was an animated candy cart racer?

Best career move possible for Tomi.  Even though she's nearly as batshit crazy as everyone else on the far right, she showed ONE bit of independent thought on being pro choice.  Now that opens her up to a much larger market.  One of the best career moves she could have ever asked for.
