"Rough Night" Is Basically A Blatant Rip-Off Of "Very Bad Things" Which Is Fine

A movie "borrowing" entire storylines from other successful movies and attach the latest crop of marketable actors to it? There's nothing wrong with that -- it's happened practically since the beginning of motion picture production. "Rough Night" basically sews together three movies here -- bachelor night out (the female-male "Hangover" switch-a-roo), they kill a stripper while partying in their hotel room and have to figure out what to do with the body (ditto "Very Bad Things"), with a dusting of "Bridesmaids" throughout.

The movie comes from the writers of "Broad City" (which is a huge plus -- they can do no wrong) and the producers of the 21 Jumpstreet reboots (uh oh), but it looks like Kate McKinnon's one-note scenery chewing might be the only thing that'll hold this one back.
