It's Official: The FBI Has Evidence That Ties Trump Associates To Russian Ops During Election 2016

Submitted by: fancylad 3 months ago in News & Politics

According to CNN, the FBI is now saying it has the evidence it was looking for which ties Trump's "associates" to Russian operatives to tamper with the election -- possibly the Clinton email server leak. The evidence includes human intelligence, travel, business and phone records and accounts of in-person meetings.

FBI Director James Comey says they're analyzing their evidence and cautioned that the investigation is still ongoing.

One has to imagine if the evidence does show proof of coordinating with Russia over a presidential election, that's impeachment and jail, right?

The entire "Russians Hacked The Election" smear campaign is dying a long and stupid death.
It is amazing that IAB Liberals believe this shit which has absolutely nothing backing it up. Yet they believe without question!

But Obama illegally conducting surveillance on his enemies? Something that was reported by the MSM (who only report facts, right NF2?) hundreds of times, and admitted by various agencies too. That is un-possible the DNC tells us! Obama would never lie to the public! He just as honest as Bill (Felony Perjury) Clinton or Hillary (What Difference Does It Make) Clinton! Or Pelosi, Reid, Kerry, Biden, Gore... take your pick of super-honest Democrats!!

Expect this scandal to actually be proven true, not that the MSM will cover it like that of course...

Lolz! More DNC Bullshit! Not one shred of 'evidence' but tons of smears, false accusations and innuendo.

Never mind that MANY DNC members and elected Democrats ALSO have these exact same 'connections with Russia' ok? Just ignore that!
Never mind that it's almost impossible to BE an elected official or international businessman and NOT have 'contact' with some Russians along the way.
Nope! Just gulp down the Kool-Aid and obey the DNC.

I read my news. But only from places that don't have a 24-hour news channel. It's funny to hear people bitch about CNN and their constant Trump attacks. These same people were perfectly fine with Fox News doing this exact thing to Obama. Now you get to experience why liberals hate Fox News so much.

markust123 There's one difference.  The media is reporting facts.  Like Observable facts.  Fox is half entertainment, half reality.

Being at home today I've been channel surfing all the "news" sites and my word, I have never seen the Democratic party so befuddled in my time of observing politics (that is a long time). Whatever you think of Trump he has got a bug shoved so far up the asses of both major parties and the MSM they don't know if they should crap or scream. I love it but I do wish they would move on to the real business at hand. The way the followings eat this crap up though it doesn't look likely. Still there is something to be said for Fed gridlock.

“I have seen intelligence reports that clearly show that the president-elect and his team were, I guess, at least monitored,” the California Republican told reporters. “It looks to me like it was all legally collected, but it was essentially a lot of information on the president-elect and his transition team and what they were doing.” He said the information he had seen was not related to the FBI’s Russia investigation.
 House Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes
This is from Politico so it should salve the lefties but they still haven't got squat.

scheckydamon  'incidental collection'

e.g. they're monitoring every fucking one of you....and he incidentally happened to fall under that regime of monitoring the fuck out of EVERYONE.   yay... for universal collection of data huh?

scheckydamon You do realize that his release of this was completely out of the normal.  Information like this doesn't go "straight" to the President.  IT was unsubstantiated information, and it needs to go to the proper people for verification.   Mind you as well this goes to the FBI/CIA/Intelligence committee first to see if there are facts behind this.  You also forgot to mention that Nunes was ON THE TRUMP Transition team.  He's trying to throw the Boss some shade to hide behind.  At least that's what it looks like to me.

I'm still trying to figure out how the fact that they talked to Russians is supposed to be news. Do they have evidence that their "contact" was directly related to rigging the election? If so, then, yes, its news. If not, its a non-issue. Please tell me what candidate in the past has never had any contact with any member or representative of a foreign government. Talking to them is not a crime, or even a bad thing. It all depends on what they were talking about.

Its Official:   I no longer trust anything CNN reports and most other news outlets are suspect as well.  Left, right he said, she said...DC is so poisoned and corrupt I just can't give a toss about any of it.  Fuck all of it.

dromed Actually, with most media outlets, the thing you should distrust is the title of the article.

Nowadays, article titles oftentimes are misleading and contain opinionary information meant to sensationalize the story. Article titles, for some reason, are not fact-checked. The articles themselves, are.

Here, CNN is reporting that the FBI has information that "indicates" that Trump's associates colluted with Russia. Which...is not really all that much information. It's a bit more than probative, but is not conclusive.

Which is information you can trust. Heck, we knew that months ago. This is nothing new. The only difference is that the FBI said it in front of Congress. I'm still bored...

dromed Here's the thing, "fake news" depends on the source. The source itself is James Comey, the head of the FBI. What has CNN reported that is fake?

"News" outlets like Breitbart are fake news. They literally make up news on the spot.

Just an observation.  Why did Comey come out prior to the election and state the FBI was investigating Hillary and NOT also state they were investigating Trump.  The investigation was opened back in July of last year........

normalfreak2 in truth, I think Comey was being honest and doing what he thought was right.  He had new evidence, he was duty bound to investigate it, and he had to report the new information to congress.  I don't believe it was politically motivated at all.  Sure, the timing was unfortunate, and maybe the subsequent news stories about it had an impact on voter decisions, but I honestly don't believe the impact was that great.  I may be wrong there, but I have not seen convincing evidence that people changed their vote because of that.  If it was that easy to sway voters to one way, then the later announcement that there was nothing new to charge her with should have swayed them back.

It should be no surprise that I lean left.  I was (and still am) crushed by the 2016 election results.  I despise the direction the Country I love and would die for willingly is going under the Trump administration.  Nevertheless, had I been in Comey's position, I too would have done exactly what he did.  His job.  I would do the job I was sworn to do, and I would report the fact that there was new evidence to Congress.

I feel bad for the guy, actually.  He's clearly very smart, has way more integrity than most people in this administration, and is being crucified by both sides for doing what is right.
