Fans of rock journalism are flipping out right now. For me, the Detroit-based "CREEM" was my Bible and its regular writers -- Lester Bangs, Christgau, Greil Marcus, Patti Smith, and Dave Marsh (who coined the term "punk rock" -- were gods who regularly wrote about musicians that no other publications wrote about.
It looks like the producers of the filmmakers set up a Kickstarter campaign to finish the project up -- it's worth dropping $5 to see this thing through, plus you get your name in the film's credits. You can be a producer -- put that on your LinkedIn profile!
If you're a hardcore rock fan and you don't know already, check out the magazine's archives here and if you ever come across old issues at a flea market or yard sale, buy all of them. They're like modern-day Dead Sea Scrolls.
