[BREAKING] Sean Spicer Confirms That Microwaves Are Not Capable Of Espionage

Submitted by: fancylad 5 months ago in News & Politics

Who would have thought that in 2017, there'd be a daily White House press briefing where the White House press secretary had to confirm that home kitchen appliances didn't have the capability of spying on its owners.

Yet here we are: An ex-reality TV host is president and his Keystone Kops-esque cabinet continue to bumble into each other and the rest of the world laughs. USA! USA! USA!

It's all fun to laugh about until you spend 3 hours in your basement getting waterboarded by your toaster

Nothing you have said negates the fact that he could have been under illegal surveillance. It can be done and is by not only our own government but foreign governments. Or have you not been reading the news about the CIA and there  ability to access your phone

I see that the spin/lie, that when Trump said wiretapping he was talking about other things besides tapping his phones, is being repeated by IAB members below. Trump specifically said that his phones were being tapped. There's no way to lie your way out of this one. Here is the most incriminating of his four tweets:

"How low has President Obama gone to tapp my phones during the very sacred election process. This is Nixon/Watergate. Bad (or sick) guy!"

My wife asked me the other day why I was wearing my .45 in the house.

I looked at her and whispered, "Decepticons".

I laughed, she laughed, the microwave laughed.  I shot the microwave.

I find it so sad that in this day and age that we read in the paper that the Government can and has been hacking our computers can turn our phones in to listening devices, aim a laser at your window and hear what's being said, point a heat sensitive device and tell how many people  and where they are in you're home. I know that there are ways to perform surveillance that we don't even know about. Using a home device may be one of them. All it takes is one or two people in the right place in the FBI, CIA, Home Land or half a dozen other abbreviated Gov. entities to preform illegal surveillance. Really all you need are a few good men with no scruples. And if you don't believe me just take a look at Richard Nixon and Water Gate. We would have never known about it except for a little piece of electrical tape over a lock. Can any one out there say that this is not possible? If you think you can say its impossible your lying, blind or just stupid. I have know Idea if he was Taped or not but I know for a fact it could happen. And until some one proves or disproves it, And until then I know you don't know.

Home appliances that are connected to the internet can and have been used in surveillance of a household. Duh?
If hacked of course, which is amazingly easy...

And this is just more distraction from the DNC. It was WIDELY reported by such MSM outlets as the LA Times and New York Times that it was common knowledge that Trump was "under surveillance" by various Obama government agencies... notice what the MSM is NOT talking about? Their OWN reports of this being a fact. What does that say?

5cats Being "common knowledge" does not, in any way, mean that something is actually correct.
Also, you're not going to hear what's happening in someone's house through a microwave oven, for heaven's sake...just be careful what you say in front of the refrigerator!

broizfam Dozens of MSM outlets reported that Trump was under surveillance, you deny that? Why is him suspecting it was a fact shock you? The USA spied on Angela freaking Merkel, why would they NOT spy on Trump as he ran for President?

Surveillance doesn't always mean audio recording, there's ways to hack literally anything that is connected to the internet. Those ways gather various sorts of information, period.

5cats "Reports", much like "common knowledge", are not necessarily correct and, quite often, they're not. Did I seem shocked? What bothers me and, I think, so many others is that he states it as absolute fact without, apparently, any actual evidence that he's correct. What bothers me even more is how many of you simply accept that he's right without any evidence, simply because he said it. That's really damned scary, in fact.
You're right - "surveillance" doesn't always mean audio recording. Wire tapping the phone, which is what Trump accused Obama of doing, pretty much does, though.

broizfam Obama had the resources of the entire world to send after Trump, you imagine he didn't?
http://www.breitbart.com/video/2017/03/14/judge-napolitano-three-intel-sources-say-obama-looked-to-brit-agency-to-spy-on-trump/

"Wiretapping" means several things, in general it means spying. So no, Trump didn't say anything wrong. Once again it's all MSM spin and no substance.

5cats Not really. "Spying" or "surveillance" can mean several things. "Wiretapping" means, well, wiretapping.

broizfam Right, recording off a telephone or other communication device.

Considering how they were illegally wiretapping Flynn and Merkel, among tens of thousands of other people? Why should it come as a shock they were also conducting (illegal) surveillance on the GOP Presidential candidates? Hummm? Why all this amazement that the world's spys were (GASP!) SPYING on people?

5cats The only thing here that shocks/amazes me is how easily you accept any report(s) or charges, even though no actual evidence is given or available, as being absolute proof of impropriety. I assume that's because they've been levelled by conservatives at liberals. I do know that you wouldn't accept liberals doing the same with regard to charges aimed at conservatives. Can't have it both ways and still expect your opinion to be respected.

broizfam Who ever accused Bush of using illegal surveillance? No one did, that's who.
Did Bush regularly send the IRS after his enemies like Obama did? Nope.
Did Bush place world leaders under surveillance? Nope, but Obama did.
Bush put that NSA thing in place, it's true. Obama reduced it OH WAIT Obama greatly expanded it in both size and power.
Obama ordered drone strikes on US citizens without even a warrant... never mind a trial.

On and on it goes, yet you think it's utterly impossible for Obama to have asked the British to do some spying on Trump, the biggest threat the DNC has seen in a decade? That's just un-possible? After he did all that and much more besides?

5cats Nope. I don't think it's impossible. But you seem to think it's already proven true simply by virtue of the fact that someone said it. Did Bush use illegal surveillance? Probably. The fact that no one made such an unsupported accusation doesn't mean it didn't happen, just as asshole Trump accusing Obama of doing it means that it did. Why do you keep accusing me of thinking Obama having done that stuff to be "utterly impossible" when I've never said anything like that. The fact that you think it actually happened simply because someone said it did doesn't equate to me being dumb enough to think it couldn't possibly have. Maybe Obama had that asshole wiretapped but the asshole simply saying it happened doesn't mean it did. The real question here is: why do you accept as absolutely proven any anti-liberal accusation even when no proof has been presented? Especially when I know you would fight like hell against any liberal doing the same to a conservative!
Use some sense.

broizfam By the way, I really got a kick out of the smile on Spicer's face as he was denying the surveillance through the microwave thing. It looked like he was trying pretty hard not to laugh about that!

5cats As someone that does IT for a living, it's not "amazingly" easy/simple to hack equipment.  For some people hacking comes naturally, Sure I can do somethings well but I'm not an advanced Black or White hat.  I know enough to get me in trouble.  I could do more if I wanted to learn how to code better, but alas I can't stand writing code.

normalfreak2 you see, even though the concept was immediately abandoned by other Republicans for it's absurdity, the truly faithful will still find ways to defend this and anything else their id-rendered-flesh says or does. If bragging about grabbing women by the p*ssy (whilst having a simultaneous sexual assault case in process) didn't lose him these supporters, then I truly don't know what could.

This administration is getting scary with it's rampant blatant lies being passed as truth and the truth being claimed as lies along with the rampant paranoia that Trump and his staff show constantly. Not to mention the Russian meddling and all the Russian entanglements most of his staff have. I will not even mention the incompetence the Leader shows in most areas

mrsnowmeiser forgive me for posting this as a reply, but the "post" button only appears for me with replies. Anyhow, what I intended to pass off clever: When a magnetron is rumored to spy, And facts defer to Alternative Lies, When Spicer, and Conway, and Bannon and Trump, shift the goalposts and incessantly stump... This is the America many of us feared, divided by hatred and swallowed by fears. Our closest salvation a distant two years, if votes still matter when that day draws  near

AgamemnonTheGreat For some reason the "post" arrow shows at the top for me, next to the title. It only shows next to the box for replies. It may be the same for you. In that case, you write your post as usual but then scroll to the top to click the arrow. Take a look.
