Hillary Clinton Spelled Out Trump's Direct Connection To Putin And Russia And We Didn't Listen

Submitted by: fancylad 1 month ago News & Politics

"No, You're the puppet!"

This "puppet" exchange was from the third and final presidential debate on October 19, 2016. We about Trump's ties doe that long. Funny how this really got to Trump at the time to the point where his best retort was, "No I'm not, you are"

Lets face it folks, neither of them were worthy or qualified to be president, only one of them is currently proving that.

captkangaroo Pretty much this.  However, Liberals will never see that.  They'll just see how much better things would have been under Hillary.  It would have been just as bad, if not worse.

waldo863 Mmm, I'd say that Clinton would probably be much better at covering up and spinning her corruption than Trump has. Clinton would have still done corrupt things and helped her friends out. Things would still have leaked, as they do, and as they should, but a lot more of it would have been obfuscated and hidden from the press and America wouldn't be the laughingstock it is today.

Would the corruption that you don't see be better than the corruption that you do see? *shrug* Hard to say...

bliznik She'd have the lapdog media at her beck and call, NONE of the fake bullshit about ANY of her decisions. Zero.
No one would mention the word 'Benghazi' for 4 years. The Clinton Foundation's donations would skyrocket, no one would say a word about it. & etc.

So yeah, she's a professional at corruption. Luckily she's egotistical and incompetent too, or she'd have become President and that would be it for western civilization (as we knew it).

5cats Because the media never attacked Clinton for Benghazi...or for her email server...or for her foundation...

Right.

bliznik Not even a fraction as much as this 'Flynn Thing' and she got 10X as much support, cover-up, and attacks against anyone who dared asked any questions...

A few token stories don't equal the massive support she received, especially from CNN...

bliznik That's true, she is a career politician so she is used to covering things up.  That's why she had her own servers and shit, so she can do what she wants and hide it.  You're right though, a lot less things would be out in the open because everything she says publicly is scripted and she doesn't go posting random thoughts on Twitter.  It is really hard to say, but it's easy to see that very close to half the country thought she would be worse, even if it was the slightly smaller half.

After all, Trump got caught on an open mic sending a message to Putin that "After my election I have more flexibility." Eh?

rumham you're saying while simply assuming Trump has connections to Russia due to the fact that they (including Trump) fired some that were proven to have this. How intelligent are you?

marsii So maybe you're a pedophile who hasn't been caught yet. I mean, you could be. Don't you see how stupid this line of reasoning is?

Fojos He was fired for being caught, and we know trumple knew about the issue weeks ago.

Here you go: pedo fox news source just for you http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/02/15/officials-trump-knew-flynn-misled-wh-weeks-before-ouster.html

Trump initially thought Flynn could survive the controversy, according to a person with direct knowledge of the president's views, but a pair of explosive stories in The Washington Post in recent days made the situation untenable.

and he only got fired when the media found out about it. See how reasoning isn't stupid after all?

Whoa. I'll say this: Until watching this clip, I'd forgotten how specific Clinton had been regarding her Trump-Putin charges. She did, indeed, lay it all out. If the events now unfolding prove her correct? Historians will have their work cut out for them in explaining how she still lost the election.

squrlz4ever hindsight is 20/20.  She lost because she was complacent and thought Michigan and a couple of other democrat leaning states were in the bag.  Plus she had more baggage than Ted Kennedy.  Being thought of as a liar didn't help either.

woodyville06 Not sure what you mean by "hindsight is 20/20." I agree with all your other observations.

squrlz4ever the hindsight statement was regarding historian's explaining her loss.  It's easy to show a clear and obvious connection once the said event has occurred.  On the other hand, make them predict outcomes now for current events and then see how well they guessed once the events unfold.

There was a lot of talk after the election that Trump didn't out perform previous republicans but that Clinton failed to perform as Obama had in the previous two elections: her base simply didn't vote for her in sufficient numbers and that was the reason she lost.  The real Monday morning quarterback discussion for the future will be why.  My personal opinion is that she was sufficiently unpalatable that she lost a portion of her base but the key reason is she had the strongest third party candidate in history sucking away her critical younger voter base - feel the Bern.  Bernie did to her what Perot did to daddy Bush in 92.

squrlz4ever Same here, it's almost like she went back in a time machine and said, "OK, boys -- I just came back from February 14, 2017 and here's the front page of the "The Washington Post."

Maybe not exactly like that, but she was pretty dead on.

squrlz4ever you mean the woman who threatened to go to war based on assumptions at first? This is simply political trash-talk in politics.

Fojos Can you be a bit more plain? When did Clinton threaten to go to war based on assumptions? War with whom? And when you say "This is simply political trash-talk in politics," what do you mean by this?

I'm not saying I disagree with anything you're saying at this point. I'm simply saying I'm not sure what it is you're saying.

squrlz4ever We ALL know why she lost: she was a terrible candidate. Trump was bad, but Hillary was far worse.

She had a script right in front of her, (literally, there's footage of her staff slipping her fresh sheets to read from during the debate) she did what Obama did during his career: she read what other people wrote for her.

5cats I'm with Skeeter on this one. If there is "literally" footage of Clinton's staff feeding her sheets of info to read from during the debate (which would have been a violation of the debate rules), kindly provide the link. If you made an error there, kindly retract.

5cats really?  I've just searched for it and can find no such footage of people slipping her scripts during the debate.  Kindly provide the link to this footage.

squrlz4ever No, she lost the election because her team misread the American public.  What historians will be pondering over, is why.

punko I didn't say they'd be pondering over it; I said they'd be explaining it. Sixty years from now, if it's known that Hillary Clinton laid bare acts of treason by her opponent in the final debate, yet lost the election, it's going to take a few chapters to explain how that could happen to people who didn't live through it.

As for why the Democrats misread the mood of the public, I think the answer is manifest. Most of the DNC is comprised of well-paid consultants who hobnob with Washington lobbyists and are woefully out of touch with the middle class. The Democratic party was wedded to the status quo and maneuvered the political process to prevent Sanders, who was in touch with the public mood, from usurpring Clinton. By contrast, the Republican establishment was outmaneuvered by Trump. The result: The Republicans had a candidate who channeled the public's mood, while the Democrats did not.
