How in the hell did the guy from Foxtel (the Australian Cable TV provider) know how to track this guy down?

Not too hard, someone sees it on their facebook page, said person runs the name through the company database to see if they're a customer, said person looks at the customer package to see what they have, then said person looks at their phone number and gives them a call.

" How in the hell did the guy from Foxtel (the Australian Cable TV provider) know how to track this guy down? "  If it is anything like US companies, they offer the package where you get your phone included or his phone # is listed with his provider.  Facebook Stream to IP address to Cable provider to Customer account to Phone #.  If you are going to do this, don't advertise to 78,000 people :)

I love how people will hit accept on a EULA or sign a contract without ever reading it, then claim they know exactly what they are allowed to do.

squidbush A norwegian consumer rights group read out the T&C's for the 33 most popular mobile apps. It took them 32 hours.

Hiding behind a EULA just isn't a valid moral defence

barry9a A contract is still a contract. Morals don't enter into it.

I'm going to throw a wild guess out there and say someone saw it on his facebook page.
