There's More Than One Way To Skin A Pineapple

Submitted by: lalapancakes 11 months ago in Lifestyle

Who’d have ever thought cutting pineapple is a form of art? It's one of my favorite fruits that I rarely eat because it's so hard to peel, but a tourist in Davao City in the Philippines filmed a man who has shown me the way. The fruit ninja, as the tourist fondly named the smiley knife wielding street vendor, takes less than a full minute to skin and serve a full pineapple. The fruit vendor’s speed, agility, and effortless maneuvering of the knife is both mesmerizing and unsettling as he decimates the pineapple perfectly.

I have a feeling his skill cannot be duplicated.

That was cool but it's not too hard and pretty quick to cut the ends off, stand it up and cut the edges off. Then you just quarter that and cut the core off. Don't shy away from the effort Lala, they, like cherries and strawberries have magical health benefits.
