If 2017 was going to roll out on a plate of mediocrity, who better to serve it up than Mariah Carey? OK, that's a little harsh. Truly, I cannot blame anyone who’s not approaching this new year with excitement. Most of my day job co-workers stayed in for New Year's Eve. Some fell asleep well before midnight. None seemed excited about 2017 at work the next day. At midnight, I think I had maxed out at two drinks and then... meh. Yea, I get it. There’s a bit of a reluctance to move on into the future. For many reasons. I’ve already lost Bowie and Prince. I’m over the idea of having a better "new year." It just seems dismal, like birthdays, now. As for Carey, her team claim sabotage and I honestly, at this point in the game with how shady the media industry is, am more willing to believe her over Dick Clark Productions.
