Hooray For Hollyweed: Literally, A Sign Of Good Things To Come In 2017

Submitted by: fancylad 7 months ago in News & Politics

Details are still sketchy, but when Los Angeles wakes up from it's New Year's Eve hangover, it won't take long for the city to see that Hollywood has now been renamed Hollyweed. The modification to the sign (first erected in 1923 as Hollywoodland) happened last night.

No one's been caught, but the LAPD is apparently wasting resources to investigate the matter. This isn't the first time the sign has been updated to say Hollyweed though. The same thing happened on New Year's Day in 1976 when Daniel N. Finegood pulled the old Wood-Weed switcharoo after California decriminalized the possession of small amounts of marijuana.

I'm pretty sure all of Los Angeles won't care if the authorities say, "Eh, OK -- fine. Keep it up for the day."

This shows how much people are getting into activities that are prohibited. However, that does not mean this incident is harmful to anyone. I believe the admission service near the fence should strict and security should be high. This helps to prevent such pranks.

Is media outlets regurgitating foulness and obliterating society? Is it opening better approaches for considering and bringing joy and illumination? Does it create lethal waste or crisp breezes that give millions expectation and refreshment?

The security has gotten extremely low by the sign. I've seen people get escorted out just for standing too close to the fence. I've heard about a helicopter being dispatched for people who made it to the trail on the inside. This is a good vandalism, though. I approve.
