Pizza, the "world's saddest polar bear" has been removed from a shopping centre in China where he "suffered for selfies." That's the good news. The bad news is that his freedom is temporary.

An excerpt from The Telegraph:

Pizza, who was kept in an aquarium at China’s Grandview Mall, has been moved to an undisclosed ocean park in North China, where he was born, to reunite with his parents. Pizza, who was kept in an aquarium at China’s Grandview Mall, has been moved to an undisclosed ocean park in North China, where he was born, to reunite with his parents.

However, Grandview say the move is only a temporary one while they renovate Pizza's enclosure.

If Pizza's captivity upsets you, sign the petition to that's urging Grandview Mall to release him.

They should cross-train him to become 'sexual harrassment Polar Bear" It doesn't have the same ring as 'panda', but hey, it could work...

Of course he can't go into the wild- but he can be housed in a way which is allowing him to have a satifying and natural life.

Everyone thinks, "Oh the poor animal, he's a majestic beast and deserves to live free in the wild as nature intended." While completely ignoring the fact that he was born in captivity and knows no other life. It would be cruel beyond belief to force him to live in the wild. He would pine for his cage and food bowl. For his crowd of adoring fans. What he wants and needs is companionship of his own kind (and some nookie). That would cheer him up immeasurably.

Might as well stay in captivity...too warm out there. Though 2 daft idiots managed to drive to the north pole a few years back...some said it would be impossible. Never underestimate British tenacity fuel by gin.
