As the country holds its breath wondering what the new Trump presidency will bring, the most vulnerable of the American community, the LGBQT people, are preparing for the worst. The hashtag #TransLawHelp on twitter is available to help trans men and women with passports, naming documents, and other administrative needs and it’s available pro bono.

An excerpt from Mashable:

Goodhue said she was impressed with how quickly the online effort came together, but she knows not everyone in the community will be able to take advantage before Jan. 20 when Trump takes office. Just to legally change forms is a fairly complicated and costly process with verification from doctors needed and about $500 for change fees and expedited service, she explained.

A crowdsourced open Google document has developed with a list of lawyers and resources six pages long for trans people looking for legal help.

Trump isn't as much of a concern as is his beloved Mike Pence.  The best comparison is that Trump is to Mexican border walls as Pence is to gays.  Except for the fact that Trump wouldn't put undocumented people into "conversion therapy" concentration camps like his VP would with gay people.

Cute Trump joke ::: "Trump: "Let's get that Muslim band going" "Band? We thought you said ban" Trump: "No way, that's harsh. Also, how's the Mexican mall going?"

This cost Clinton more support than is being mentioned. Gay marriage was accepted by most and life went on without a hitch. The transgender directives for schools was a step to far for many though. Maybe in time that can change or a different way foreword can be found but the idea of your daughter going to school and showering with guys was a no go, even for many that supported gay marriage.
