Here's one. This year New York City experienced such a heatwave bug experts are suggesting their giant dickhead tree roaches might begin to fly. This is the stuff of nightmares. The roaches can get fairly large, from my own experience of spending humid childhood summers in Houston, they can get up to five inches... now imagine five inches of cockroach flying at you.
Sostre News: "All American cockroaches have wings and the ability to take flight, but don’t typically do so unless they’re in humid climates. It’s a common sight in the Deep South, where some call the flying roaches 'palmetto bugs.' The term comes from the bugs’ tendency to hang out in — and fly out of — palmetto and palm trees."
