The Paris Truck Driving Killer Texted Someone To 'Bring More Guns'

Submitted by: fancylad 1 year ago in News & Politics

According to the Washington Post, the French authorities just arrested two more men in connection to the man who drove a semi-truck through a crowd of fireworks show attendees, killing 84 and seriously injuring hundreds others. The total number of people arrested is at seven, including his ex-wife. These French authorities also confirmed that Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, 31, texted "Bring more weapons" to someone minutes before he drove the truck into the hundreds of bystanders. It's also been verified that Bouhlel visited the scene days earlier for some recon.

I admittedly haven't been keeping tabs on this weekend story, but wasn't the last thing we heard about this guy was that he was mentally disturbed, heartbroken over a recent divorce, and upset over not seeing his kids? And now this incident is wrapped up with seven other people and some pretty good evidence that this was indeed a planned terrorist attack.

Or was it both? Is joining ISIS the final resting stop for disaffected Muslim losers with an ax to grind. Eh, all I know is I got shit for "jumping the gun" hours after it happing by calling it a definite terrorist act.

NOPE. I just tried " Test: [Insert Phrase Here] " and the bot did not post it.

Radical Islam. There. There's no hidden agenda behind the very basic platform that runs this site, guys. Come on, now.

They why was my post made to "magically disappear"? And don't try to tell me that "it does that sometimes". I've never had it happen before. Then again, I've never written a post quite like the one that disappeared. There have also been several other members who have had their posts disappear because of the content of the post. They re-wrote their post, with different phrasing or different spellings of certain words (like "Muxlim") and the system will suddenly accept it. There may not be a "hidden agenda", but there is certainly some type of censor system in place that keys on certain words or phrases.

agree. i've had posts "magically disappear" when all i've conveyed was an innocent comparison using the M word.

I did a test and my post did not get posted. so Maybe you found the glitch. In the old IAB you could not say 'cock'. not even cockroach. But I discovered, as long as it was the first word of the line it slipped past the bot. Perhaps it's same here. I will run a test.

Figures. I just wrote a long post, but made the mistake of mentioning the evil "M" word (referring, of course, to the religion of the asshat that this topic is about), and the system deleted it. I'm not going to retype it; I'll just summarize it instead (but my summary won't make any friends): religious people are brainwashed idiots. All religions. The subject of this topic's religion just happens to be the "worst" at this particular moment in history.

We have to use code for the M religion on here? Do the censors consider it to be an insult? What other normal words are prohibited? But nobody can tell me, because their posts won't show up. Can I say Catholic?

The problem is they're not afraid to die. AND by rounding them up, you're making it a lot easier for those who are on the good side of the "fence" to be radicalized. By rounding people up and even just suggesting having people rounded up would make most people really fucking angry. Just imagine if people began suggesting rounding up gun owners. How quickly would it turn into a complete shit show?

If they're on the "good" side of the fence, they won't be radicalized.

@DerrNH I respectfully disagree with you on this. If those that are law abiding citizens, in whichever country they live in, feel marginalised and ostricised enough, by the societies in which they live, they could, as a result, become so frustrated by their percieved (and often real) persecution, that they could become easy targets for those that attempt to seek out the dissefected, and be turned to radicalism, particularly if they're young and impressionable in the first place.

@buttersrules, I think you put your finger on it. No need to plan your own attacks, with the associated risks, if you can just pump out enough 'propaganda' to inspire some disaffected loony tunes with access to weaponry to do it for you. Much easier to blind side the Intel people. Plus you have the added bonus that local reaction against any community involved may help self-radicalise some more.

How will we identify them on the streets? Perhaps a large yellow crescent sewed into their clothes?

platoons.. not bombs.. too many human shields being used.. we have to go in in small, select groups and get them that way.. and no, there's no way you can get them all, but you can make a loud enough statement to drive the rest underground for another 100 years.
