"The US Is A 3rd World Country, It’s Just Not Ready To Accept That Reality"

In the kind of critical thinking that gets you watch-listed, these days -- a writer under the pseudonym ‘hardscrabble farmer,’ reminds us of where our places are in this modern day version of Animal Farm.

“America is a third world country, it’s just not ready to accept that reality yet. Politically it is thoroughly corrupted, economically it is too deeply indebted to ever extricate itself, morally it is without direction, rudderless in dangerous seas and heading for the rocks.

The divides between the wealthy and the impoverished too wide to ever cross, the races and generations set against one another deliberately, provoked hourly by the very people who should be doing everything possible to unite them, armed to the teeth, seething with rage, neutered or enraged by pharmaceuticals, depending upon the age and gender, divided by sex, generations of fatherless children at every level raising up children who have no connection to anything that isn’t coming from a glowing screen- and all the while deliberately it seems, provoking hostility with every nation, every race, every people and persuasion in order to stir up a seething cauldron of slights and revenge for the coming reckoning.”

“Last night I had a dream. One of the last things I did before I called it quits just after dark was to feed the hogs. I stood on the tailgate of the truck and emptied bags of watermelon rinds and soft mangoes, wilted heads of lettuce, bunches of carrots, apples, sweet yellow hothouse peppers imported from Holland, strawberries by the gallon, string beans, potatoes, cabbages and onions. The sows stood up on the fence rails and lifted their snouts to me to pet, their way of thanking me for the meal although they’d waited all day long for it.”

“The people who run the show know what they’re doing in such minute detail that the exact dollar figure of public assistance must have been studied to the last cent. This much and no more. How they slowly altered the values one at a time to make the unthinkable the new reality. Who could possibly father children and then abandon them? Who could accept from another the sustenance of life while never trying to participate in your own? At each step they added another rail, a new line of wire to the enclosure that is the life of the human livestock. And how many so readily accepted their own confinement and subjugation."

P.S. if we are a third world nation who do you blame, the man who has been sitting at his house for 7 years or the man and party that's sitting in our house for 7 years. (that's the white house for all you democrats )

The only problem with flugnash is that the social problems to many people on welfare,( Johnson great society), Printing to much money Obama, doubling or tripling, the national det. Obamas weak recovery, Obamas bad foreign policy. Every time the Dems want to get a vote they give away more money. Get over it Bush is not in office and your Man Obama has done noting to improve the economy or this nation. 93 million people perpetually out of work and what jobs there are do you want fries with that. Give me a break and the only viable candidate you can field is under investigation for half a dozen felony's related to not being able to follow simple rules to protect the security of the U.S. and who has been in the news to many times for at best barely legal shenanigans. My dog would be a better president than any thing the democrats have to offer.

This may be true. I don't know. But I can tell you the great problem with our current system is that we have basically 2 parties. One is governed by the wealthy who try to help the little guy while helping themselves. The other (GOP) party tries to fool as many people as possible while helping ONLY themselves. About 20 years ago, I lived in a state that was pretty much party line Democrat. Folks I knew began to get jobs that paid $40k-60k per year as our economy boomed under Clinton. Counter-intuitively, these folks began taking a HARD republican line. They felt, and were convinced, that the democrats would take their $$ and that the GOP would make them wealthier. These same folk have suffered under the Bush Recession like the rest of us. But to this day, they claim that the economy was shit under Reagan & Bush due to the democrat run congress and that the prosperity under Clinton & Obama was due to the republican run congress. So, I say to them, "Vote Democrat for POTUS, so that you can have the prosperity of a republican run congress!".

It doesn't take a genius to figure it out these days. This has been well known since at least the 1990s.

Absolutely agreed, The notion that they can maintain their standing as the world standard currency and at the same time relentlessly print and reduce the amount of it in circulation as much as they want to benefit their own internal upper class is just insanity. Enforcing it via military force combined with modern technology and its methods of enforcement may be the end game but it is headed for absolute disaster. As soon as civilians lose their right to own fire arms it is literally game over planet earth.
