Seems like everything's cool about the gorilla thing from last week, guys. This morning, a Cincinnati prosecutor officially declined to file charges against Michelle Gregg and Deonne Dickerson, the parents of the 3-year-old boy who fell into a gorilla enclosure at the city's zoo a couple weeks ago.

According to CNN, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters:

"By all accounts, this mother did not act in any way where she presented this child to some harm. She had three other kids with her and turned her back. And if anyone doesn't believe a 3-year-old can scamper off very quickly, they've never had kids."

Nothing left to see here, folks (and I will not bore you will all the evidence that states that Gregg was an attentive parent).

I mean... I think she shouldn't be having any more children but that's just me.

I think having the parents pay for a new mature gorilla would be in order!

Good- no idea if the parents were negligent- but I think it's fairly safe to say they didn't choose to have their child get into the Gorillas pen. it is a damn shame the Gorilla got shot, but perhaps if we took a bit more care with how we treat natural habitat such animals would never be in the damn zoo in the first place.

but... a rare gorilla is dead. someone has to be held accountable for that, right? a little kid somehow got into a gorilla enclosure that resulted in the death of a gorilla. if the parents arent to blame, then the parents should sue the zoo for making it so easy to get into the gorilla enclosure that even their little kid could do it.

Sometimes shit happens. Not every incidence requires jail time or a lawsuit.

i live in a world of justice damn it! a little kid got into a gorilla enclosure which resulted in the death of a gorilla, some one has to be held responsible! i understand how reality works, sometimes the bad guys get away, but that fucking sucks. sometimes shit happens, but when shit happens, some one has to stand up and take responsibility for it. im not looking for jail time or lawsuits, im simply looking for someone to say, "Hey, i am responsible, and i will take steps to help insure that it wont likely happen again." i say wont likely happen again instead of never because lets face it, people are stupid. so long as there are wild animal enclosures, people will try, and succeed, at getting in. and then they get a gorilla shot or they get mauled by a bear.
