From the New York Times article...

Saudi Arabia has told the Obama administration and members of Congress that it will sell off hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of American assets held by the kingdom if Congress passes a bill that would allow the Saudi government to be held responsible in American courts for any role in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

The Obama administration has lobbied Congress to block the bill’s passage, according to administration officials and congressional aides from both parties, and the Saudi threats have been the subject of intense discussions in recent weeks between lawmakers and officials from the State Department and the Pentagon. The officials have warned senators of diplomatic and economic fallout from the legislation.

In tomorrow's news, America outlaws foreign ownership of industry. Sorry for your luck, you now have nothing to sell. Really though, in liquidating their assets they'd lose $100's of billions as share prices would dive (markets would close anyway). It's a hollow threat implying they're willing to sacrifice half their assets for being held responsible should incriminating information surface.

Say what you want the 28 pages that have yet to be released evidently implicate Saudi Arabia at the highest levels of their Government. They export Wahhabism, that's what's causing that type of terrorism. Saudi should be held liable where they are found to be responsible. Just like anyone else.

So ... Let's send several American's to Saudi Arabia and train them to fly planes. Then have them hijack airliners and have them fly them into the Modern Investment Company Tower, the Ministry of Interior and the King Palace. And claim our government has zero responsibility.

I call BS. These people are into making money. Destabilizing the US economy solely for spite doesn't make economic sense for them. Anyway it would simply mean that China would buy up more of us.

The Saudis that own that land and other US assets are into making money, not losing it. They won't sell themselves short.

I think this is about unsealing the 28 pages of the 9/11 report that were held back. It's not like it would really make much of a difference though, since the available pages of the 9/11 official report have been throughly refuted by architects, structural engineers, physicists, and chemists all around the world. Their research backed refutation has exposed many anomalies of bad science in the report, leaving many people to question it, and some even going as far as to find explosive evidence indicating that the buildings were destroyed with explosives. This is outlined in the video "Explosive Evidence - Experts Speak Out" @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddz2mw2vaEg, which itself was an offshoot of AE9/11Truth's "A blueprint for truth: @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQgVCj7q49o

Perhaps i should have been a bit clearer, they didn't throughly refute the whole thing, but by refuting the accounts of the building collapses, they threw a huge wrench into the fabrication which anyone can read at http://avalon.law.yale.edu/sept11/911Report.pdf

The Saudis are already pissed off at Obama for the "Iran Nuclear Deal" as it is. Apparently his history of insulting America's allies and embracing America's enemies has been noticed... took them long enough.

Are you saying that Saudis had nothing to do with 9/11?

Are YOU claiming that the Government of Saudi Arabia was behind 9/11, oobaka? I thought it was Bush who was the 'mastermind' according to liberals... or those rascally Joos! >>>Yes, many Saudi citizens were involved, duh? But they organized and trained in Afghanistan (and other places) where the Gov't DID INDEED support and protect AQ. Openly.

Daegog: I didn't post this. No one forces you to read my comments. Back to the topic: Obama will have to sign it, yes? Just like Bush passed the Democrat Congress's "Bailout", right? Once the PotUS put's HIS name on it? He owns it. >>>And you imagine the Republicans aren't as dumb and corrupt as the Democrats are? I don't. Two peas in the same pod. One is slightly more poisonous than the other, maybe? Maybe not. >>>This current House has done dozens of stupid things, bloody batch of idiots.

So you do think the Saudi government was behind it? Just say so, man. I don't, it was just one of the many fanatical groups that various Saudi citizens join or fund. Once in a while the Saudis 'crackdown' on them, what more can they do? If their citizens go to a different nation to train to be terrorists, how is that any different than the many Brits, French or other citizens currently joining up with ISIL, AQ or even Hamas?

a wise move oobaka, when you ignore him.. the site is simply a better place to check stuff out. If the REPUBLICAN CONGRESS passes this bill and the saudi's begin a massive sell off, then it will still be obamas fault.
