The guy in the video isn't even qualified to discuss this. He's not a structural engineer, and architects are NOT construction professionals. They are designers.

You called us 'sheeple'- which officially means every subsequent thing you say is crap. On another note I redecorated the bathroom today- looks much better, I may do the gloss tomorrow- or August.

fyi i didn't post that, my tagline was "using basic physics".. the mods modded it before it was posted here

In which case I apologise. I still disagree with his conclusions- but at least I can absolve you from using that very silly word!!

ugh wall of text.. Basically Both the Official story and the conspiracy story seem so improbable, that I just wonder how ANYONE can be utterly convinced either way.

As for 9/11, I am torn. On one hand, it literally does not seem possible for it to occur as exactly as the official story lays it out. I have worked with metal more than most i think, and I know steel BENDS a lot, but it BREAKING (that is what iron does)..... On the other hand, It seems almost equally improbable that a conspiracy of the magnitude required here was pulled off. No one is alive to talk or anything? I don't know how i could ever convince myself totally either way, I do not believe that steel that is 30 stories away from a heat source will be so "damaged" that it shatters like glass, that part always bugs me. I think I can convince myself of a conspiracy easier if i think that bush DIDN'T know. I do not like bush nor will I ever think him anything other than a moron, but I am hard pressed to think of him as that kind of Traitor....... Cheney, well ok, Cheney could do it, but I don't think GW could.

On a side note.. 32 hearings into Benghazi and only 21 hearings on 9/11... Those wacky republicans.

"The top 15 stories couldn't do that in a pancaking collapse" Under normal circumstances, no. They couldn't. Circumstances where far from normal. There was a raging fire spread over multiple floors. A jetliner (weighing roughly 350.000 pounds, doesn't matter what its made from in a collision like this) had struck the building across multiple levels and severely damaged the core structure. The fires then weakened the steel to the point where the structural steel support beams failed under buckle load. When buckling occurs an H beam basically goes from full strength to no strength in a matter of milliseconds. This means 15 stories worth of skyscraper is now almost in freefall until they strike the unweakened floors below. The MASSIVE impact force overwhelms the supporting structure below, causing more buckle mode failures on the corebeams and ripping the floorbeams from their flanges. (Note, the beams are only held together with bolted flanges, this is not a fully structural joint like a weld but they are normally only stressed in tension so this doesn't matter) Concrete doesn't handle impact loads very well. It's incredibly strong under slow compression but hit it with a sledgehammer and it'll crack and crumble. Hit it with a 15 stories worth of skyscraper and it pulverises into a powder like it's not even there. The debris and remaining structure starts falling down, impacting the next floor, and then the next, and the next. Until nothing is left standing. Right next to the base of this skyscraper is another very tall steel constructing building. When the WTC towers fell massive chunks of concrete and steel get blasted into the facade, and then deeper into the building, tearing away the structure and fracturing concrete. In the end the building couldn't take the hit and fell. And once a steel construction building starts falling it's even weaker than a house of cards. They are massively strong if all the parts are in place. Take away one support beam and it might cope. Take away most of the lower floors and it'll fall like it's made of air. (And if you ever see one of these buildings stripped bare, they basically ARE pretty much air. And because they are so weak they will collapse at pretty much the speed of freefall. Yes, that day we saw 3 steel construction skyscrapers fall to the ground in an event we had never witnessed before. But nothing like a modern fully laden jet aircraft had ever impacted a skyscraper before. We couldn't ever have seen something like this happen. Claiming that it must be false because we never saw it before doesn't make it so. Please, if you are going to claim you are going to disprove something using basic physics, at least learn what you are talking about. Because the mechanisms involved are NOT basic physics. To understand what happened you need to have at least some knowledge of structural engineering and material sciences. You need to have an understanding of just how massive the forces involved in a collision and collapse like this can be.

Guhh, sorry. That turned into a wall of text. I had inserted some spaces and line breaks to create paragraphs but it seems those are automatically removed. (Can that feature please be turned off (Or be set so it'll allow only a single blank line but no more?)? Long posts become almost unreadable this way.

THey still haven't fixed the issue with formatting. I believe you can enter to insert spaces I think? test?

He's absolutely right! Just LOOK at the world we live in post 9/11!! We got screwed in the ass that day, guys. 'Architects and Engineers'! Ha! What do THEY know?! What's next? A Nuke in a Yank city? A 'Dirty Bomb'? some atrocity at an airport? The very FACT that simply by typing these words, this missive will bring up a red flag somewhere, is perfect PROOF that that fateful day, the floodgates were opened to horrors beyond our comprehension. 'If you've nothing to hide, you've nothing to fear'....f*c* off!! Oh, and to all you 'Keepers of Freedom'....once they're done with US, it'll be YOU! (cos you know where the bodies are buried!) You're doomed, along with the rest of us. May be a few years later, but you're almost certainly on the 'to do' list!

MW, there are so many better things you could be doing with your time. Painting a fence, for example. Oh, and addressing your audience as "sheeple" is a very poor tactic. It suggests that we are stupid and you are smart, which isn't really the general concensus around here.

uh, that was added in by the mods. My title was: "Man Proves How The “Official” 9/11 Story Can't Be True" (MODS EMPHASIZED CAN'T). my tagline was "Using Basic Physics". Mod's change: "How does he prove the lie? Basic physics, sheeple. " so your comment is best applied to the one who changed the data in the process from my submission to this post.

OK, if you didn't write "sheeple" then I withdraw the "sheeple" comment. But, still this is poor stuff.

i know it's that way to you Jim, because it lessens the crutch the 9/11 'official report' provides for your anti-religion world view.

This replaces religion for them. They feel they have some control of their life because they are "in the know"..... they have a special knowledge they want to spread - sound familiar? And these guys are just as evangelical about their message as any missionary..... and religion refers to people as a flock or sheep so why not "sheeple" ?

Is this from that airplane guy? Why don't they measure the rate at which it fell? Acceleration due to gravity is 9.8 meters per second squared, if I remember correctly. This is just another banana pie who has a "theory."

Or they could use their ears. Where are all the audible charges going off, if it was a controlled demolition?

Why try to compare with quarry blasts? How about controlled demolitions of buildings? --> At 2:10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tacYjsS-g6k

Nope. Cardboard models and rock quarries = Grasping at straws.

The video was posted so you could use your ears too, denying that no audible charges going off is just a grasp at straws since the reports of it are overwhelming.

Right, because the structural integrity couldn't possibly have been compromised by a fucking jet crashing into (2 of) the buildings, and raging fires that weakened (note, not melted) the steel structures.
0

Male 2,028
right, because a 90,000 ton steel and concrete framed building hit at the top by an aluminum jet filled with fuel that burned off mainly in impact (and which can't weaken steel) causes steel 2-85 floors below it to become weakened when it saw no fires so that a complete catastrophic failure occurs.

Yes, the lower floors got compromised as well because, *gasp*, the fires spread. In an office full of materials to burn. The fire burns a single hole in the floor/ceiling, and guess what? The fire is going to be on the next floor. BASIC PHYSICS. You and your ilk act like the tower was completely empty and hollow.

Did you not just watch the video? It's impossible for the building to have fell at the rate it did (which was virtually freefall) without something assisting it when falling. BASIC PHYSICS. You really think fire can spread to the other 100 floors that quickly? Yet again, BASIC PHYSICS. And what about the third building that collapsed seemingly out of nowhere and DID fall at free fall??

Fires spread, and with the exception of a region of fire about 10 floors above the crash zone, did not spread significantly beyond the impact region. No one saw fires spring up on every floor 1-85 so to cause the supporting structure of those floors to fail in the complete catastrophic way, and there was no report or evidence of it outside the crash region and above. Please explain how they were compromised, and send links if you have evidence of this.. pictures, reports how every floor was burning. (i've looked, it's just not there but i could miss something, although i suspect you're just trying to defend your ego/too afraid to admit being wrong).

Cardboard replica > Blacksmith that heats metal up to see how pliable it get's under extreme heat. I'm going to listen to the guy with no credentials using video from 9/11 and cardboard replicas.....For real?

would it really make any difference if he made a replica of anything else, or even a 1:1 copy of a building? The basic laws of physics teach us that the unaffected structure would withstand the damaged top part if it were to break lose and fall, or repel it so it topples over and off to one side causing massive damage. If the supporting structure's supports were to suddenly fail at that time though, which would require extraneous energy, it would be logical to expect to see what you would have seen happen to the buildings on 9/11 (especially wtc7).
