I was curious, so I looked for some measurements.

His chest is 58 inches. That`s almost 5 feet! He weighs 175-180 Kg. That`s two big men. Who he could probably lift with one hand.

Undoubtedly impressive, however if they were able to use a bar that had no flex I doubt he`d get it off the ground. Because the bar flexes he isn`t lifting the full weight until the top of the dead lift. Lifting the full weight from the bottom of the lift would I suspect be too much.

Possibly, although he does have to lift the full weight for much of the lift. Is the initial part of the lift significantly harder than the rest? I don`t know.

It`s still a valid comparison though, since anyone lifting anything like that weight has to use a bar that bends. It`s far too dangerous to use a rigid bar.

In case anyone is wondering why, it`s this: If a flexed bar fails it will bend, whereas a rigid bar might snap and may hurl splinters of metal with great force or impale the lifter with a suddenly jagged end of bar forced upwards by the suddenly falling weight on the end.
