I`ll give you a moment to gather yourself and blame Bush for something else.

"We found the weapons of mass destruction. We found biological laboratories. You remember when Colin Powell stood up in front of the world, and he said, Iraq has got laboratories, mobile labs to build biological weapons. They`re illegal. They`re against the United Nations resolutions, and we`ve so far discovered two. And we`ll find more weapons as time goes on. But for those who say we haven`t found the banned manufacturing devices or banned weapons, they`re wrong, we found them." - George W. Bush, lying his butt off in a 2003 interview.

George W. Bush, so bad at comprehending reality that he can`t even "predict" the PAST.

To those of you arguing about government-run healthcare: it`s not a bad idea just because your government messed it up.

Everywhere else has managed to do it pretty successfully. Your way of doing it isn`t the only way.

Seriously...you`re like some idiot child dipping the handle end in the paint and loudly exclaiming "Painting is stupid! It doesn`t work!"

Of course, if you want to read about people that think crazy tech would work when it doesn`t, just go and have a look at a few patents. Sure, some are real, but there`s a hell of a lot of craziness in there that people believe will be successful, especially in the time period all of the above quotes were from.

A lot of these are not incorrect assumptions but more likely people fearing for their jobs and way of life.

Um, who tore it to shreds? Not one single Republican, NOT ONE voted for it. It was a 100% Democrat bill, designed, written, passed and signed by NOTHING but Democrats.

Then it was "torn to shreds and kept from blah, blah, blah" by the constant post-passage rewriting by President Obama. He has illegally changed the law, what, 18 times since it was passed? Now, who tore it to shreds exactly? Try logic sometime.

Not after the Republicans tear it to shreds and keep it from being anything more than a shadow of what Obama intended.

worst thing anyone can ever do in science is to doubt its capabilities, to limit their imaginings of it.
High Speed rail is impossible in North America -- only because of OldOllie and the fact that I`m drunk.
Oh, I believe high-speed rail is quite possible. If you guys keep voting Democrat, they`ll raise our taxes to the point that we won`t be able to afford to keep our cars, and they`ll use the money to subsidize public transportation which couldn`t exist otherwise. Then we`ll only be able to go where they want us to go and when they want us to go there, but I`m betting it will be really fast! ;-)
