    1. Huh? I just thought it was a funny joke as if for some people, religion is the only thing keeping them from their natural desires.

    2. I would bet everything I own that I do more to help the world than you do. I foster kittens for the humane society. I do weekly art therapy with homeless kids. I do tons of pro bono work. I donate 15% of my income to ACTUAL charities. I do pretty much whatever I can to help the world. I want to watch it burn just because I don`t believe in your imaginary friend bulls.hit? Go f.uck yourself.

"Now you`ve gone and fed the troll!"

I posted what I thought was a funny comic. I`ve never posted a comic before but this one actually made me chuckle which few things online do. How does that make me a troll?

"post a reply without swearing or being insulting... "

I answered an insult with an insult. He said I want to watch the world burn. Dunno, strikes me as a much harsher insult than "go f.uck yourself." But I`m SURE you will chastise him for being the first to insult right? RIGHT?

Oh that`s right you can`t not be a hypocrite because you are both on team stupid. I don`t mean stupid as an insult by the way, I just mean that I think you are stupid. In a good way, like my cat or my three year old, that I love dearly.

HG: You can brag about all the things you supposedly do "to help the world", but since you decided to be an anonymous troll, from the very start with your choice of nickname and continuing on with your "I do more to help the world than you do" attitude, it`s all rather suspect.

First off, most people that are really doing things "to help the world" are humble about it. Bragging about your supposed charity gets you negative points, like you`re only doing it for appearances.

Secondly, don`t pretend you just posted this as a joke. You consistently try to provoke religious arguments here at IAB and troll Christians as a matter of routine.

Thirdly, you resort back to insults, yet again. How predictable, just another way you try and degenerate and lower others to your level.

    1. It isn`t bragging. Its just a factual statement. If I say I`m 6 feet tall it doesn`t mean I`m bragging about being taller than average.

    2. For what appearance? As you said this is anonymous, it isn`t like it is in a campaign commercial. It serves no purpose.

    3. This doesn`t even say anything bad about religion or the existence of god. So put your stick back up your ass and stop waving it around.

If homosexuality is such a terrible sin, how come it didn`t even make the bible`s top ten? According to the commandments, it`s much worse if you look across your fence and think "my neighbour has a really nice house, I wish mine was as nice". How come nobody ever got persecuted for going round coveting stuff?

I think organized religion and the belief in such is f.ucking retarded. I`ve never retreated from that at all. I`m just saying this comic doesn`t do anything but address choice of belief. It takes no stance on existence or make fun of religion itself in any way.

The point is just that you can decide what is and isn`t sin in your eyes and it is painfully simple.

I think that government shouldn`t be involved with marriage. Give the tax breaks to all forms of couples, roommates, married couples, business partners, etc. Let the moral institutions choose which marriages are valid and which are not. I may not recognize a marriage between a car and a guy but maybe there is a religion or organisation that does. At that point it becomes each to their own. But I don`t think the government is in a position to determine morality or feasibility of a coupling.

But I think by making a government the arbiter of marriage and condoning the argument that fetishes should not impact governments acceptance of the marriage gives legal president and renewed vigor to more perverted fetishes with their own special interest groups such as NAMBLA and similar organisations.

I don`t think gay marriage is bad or immoral, just that the institution of marriage as a whole should not be determined by the government.

"I don`t think gay marriage is bad or immoral, just that the institution of marriage as a whole should not be determined by the government."

Disregarding completely the argument for or against gay marriage, I think it makes perfect sense for marriage to be regulated by the government.

Being married is a status that grants certain civil and jurisdictional advantages, rights, and obligations. Since these are guaranteed and maintained by the government, I think it is completely logical that the government also defines what the status of marriage entails.

If, on the other hand, we created a system where marriage in no way granted civil and legal rights, and from a civil point of view being married meant nothing, then in that case I would say that the government should have no say in the definition of marriage.

@CrakrJak is correct: You consistently DO THIS. Why should "this time" be any different.
Accusing you of "wanting to watch the world burn" has argumentative MERIT. Simply cussing has NONE. Thus YOU were the first to sling poop.
Like you say: It`s simply stating a fact.

Just like you are plainly lying when you claim it`s not a troll post. Simply un-true.

@MeGrendel: Given his history? The APPEARANCE of his posting this qualifies as @holygod being a troll. He can claim otherwise all he likes, but we are CORRECT to judge him as one until PROVEN otherwise.

He has, in fact, proven it`s true by his statements here. Correct?

Either way? @CrakrJak`s comment: June 02, 2014 8:34:45 AM is 100% accurate, NOT insulting at all.
Meanwhile, the reply was both insulting AND in violation of IAB`s rules... just pointing it out.

Not asking for @Moderation, just saying that the "moral high ground" is rarely built of cussing, insults and lawlessness...

    @xavroche:

I don`t know, I see that as sort of circular reasoning. Basically "because the government maintains laws and privileges about marriage, the government must maintain laws and privileges about marriage."

I disagree, I don`t think because someone thinks they`ve found their soulmate, that they should have more rights and privileges than someone who has not. I think it is those very laws and privileges that create the problem because the morality and decency of the marriage is then judge by the government.
The legalistics like alimony and inheritance can easily be handled by the civil courts as they would contracts, lawsuits, and wills. I don`t see a big shake up there. But I think if people don`t want the government to come into their bedrooms, it`s best not to let them come to your marriage first. I`d go with your second choice but extend the tax breaks to all forms of pairing, not simply love related, as it relates to sharing property.

I don`t see how it`s circular logic. That`s how the world works currently. Marriage does give certain tax benefits, legal rights, etc. Remember it was moral at one point to own slaves. The Bible said so! Marriage is important still in our society. It`s not used the same way as it is in India or Islamic countries where they use it to strength bonds between families and property. The fact remains in this case circular logic reasoning shouldn`t be used. There`s no assuming the Government isn`t already involved. Even if they weren`t I still think you are wrong. Being Moral doesn`t make things right or wrong.

    @normalfreak2:

I think you are misunderstanding me. The circular reasoning being that simply because something happens now, the conclusion is that it should continue. Maybe I was incorrect in calling it circular reasoning, but the premise is the conclusion because it was the premise.

I think just because the government manages marriage now that doesn`t conclude that it should or that it is the best way. Simply that it is the marriage structure that, for better or worse, we currently use.

And I`m not saying being moral is right or wrong. I`m saying that in the current format the government is forced to get into saying what morals are right and wrong. For example "yes we accept that gays should get married but we don`t recognise polygamists marriages." Why does the government say one set of morals and fetish is correct and the other is wrong? Why do couples get more rights than singles?

They are just questions and instances that will naturally come up over time. Now you can put your finger in the dock for each case but they will continue to occur and thats not even taking into account future politicians that wish to impose more stricter marriage laws. You`re leaving that up to chance.

I think its better to separate government from marriage validation. The taxes and all the legalistics that connect the government to marriage can easily be performed by systems already set up in the civil courts. Thats all I was saying.

Let other institutions like churches, and special interest groups determine what they accept as marriage. People can marry whatever they want and then it`s just each to their own.

I`d keep the laws that regulated sexual conduct, to protect kids and animals. But if some guy wants to say he`s married to 10 women, whatever, that other person doesn`t consider that real marriage but whatever, each to their own.

You think homosexuality is amoral? I think judging people who aren`t hurting anyone because you`ve cherry picked a tiny part of an ancient book of fairy tales makes you a bigot, an a.sshole and amoral.

"At least 5Cats and myself submit posts that aren`t political or religious, most of the time."

So do I. I`ve posted 31 times. Only two were even remotely religious, this comic and one about taxing churches. Very few are political.

You`ve made one submission all year and it was religious.

    Not working.
NO moral high ground for YOU!

You break the rules and mock them, while expecting others to obey YOUR rules? Wait, what was this cartoon about again? Hummm...

And YES, expecting others to agree with your "moral opinions" and vigorously insulting them when they don`t is EXACTLY the same as expecting them to "follow your rules" OK?

If you could manage to be polite about it? It might be different... but you`re not.
    Plain and simple.
