    I thought that was a great PSA. Not sure how modern PSA`s stack up as I rarely watch real-time TV. But I`ve seen studies affirming a strong correlation b/w families that recycle and families w/ children in schools that teach about recycling. So, my guess its that it was both entertaining and effective. (PS obviously correlation <> causation, but - since it fits my bias - I am inclined to see a causal relationship).
