OldOllie - but your graph clearly shows Nazism on the right. @_@ You even circled Hitler, who isn`t that far off from Reagan.

I think Nazism was more of a left wing idea -- you had a government motor (VW), you had state owned business, the state took property from some (Jewish) and gave it to others (Whites). Sounds like communism/socialism to me. I know there are differences, but they have some similarities as well.

@drworm2002 Look, I know what your liberal teachers taught you. You don`t have to parrot it back to me. They`re all a bunch of left-wing f***tards. Nazis, socialists, communists, progressives, and liberals are all STATISTS. The differences between them are like the differences between vanilla, old fashioned vanilla, home-style vanilla, natural vanilla, and French vanilla.

Hitler, Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and Kim all believed that the state is supreme, and individuals are chattels with no rights except those doled out to them by kind permission of the state.

The old canard of Nazis being right-wing was nothing but a childish retort by American liberals when their collectivist, statist political philosophy was CORRECTLY linked to communism. "Well, if communists are left wing, then Nazis are right-wing! What do you think of that? Nya, nya, nya-nya, nya; neener, neener, neener!"

BTW, the American left all LOVED European fascism before WW II broke out.

Thinking that all it did was remind people about the last time they deployed in europe in any sort of meaningful numbers.

Most of the were doing their national service back in bosnia and my lasting memory of the main troops there was that as soon as they landed the black market on booze and smokes flourished quite nicely.

"This can probably be explained by the sad fact that Nazism is probably the only thing most Americans know about Germany."

I don`t think so, I think it may be a measure though of just how little people there and people here in the UK really understand the politics of that era. e.g most people automatically link the german troops of that time with nazis.... but in fact most german troops weren`t members of the nazi party at all. They were ordinary guys called to fight for their country the same as ours were and the ones in the US.... they didn`t believe in the ideology of the nazis and hadn`t signed up for them. The SS on the other hand were a different matter.

Smag, what you say rings true also with my experience of working with german soldiers way back in Bosnia.... when they deployed as part of nato it was the first time they`d deployed in those numbers since the 2nd world war and most of them were kinda embarrassed to be asked to the party

I lived in Germany during the World Cup back in 2006 (Germany was hosting). It was a time of great national pride as Germany was doing very well in the tournament, yet I remember how uncomfortable many (most over the age of about 30) Germans were about the flag waving and national pride, even though it was for a soccer tournament and even though it was a great time of celebration. The way I see it, it`s certainly not the vast majority of the Germans who are holding onto the idea of Nazisim, it`s others who are, over 70 years later, still ignorantly pretending that`s who they are.

Have to admit, ollie, your chart does contradict you.

What the tweeting thing does prove, whether the do-gooders like it or not, is that racism is inherent.

It`s been proven we will even take sides based on eye colour, how tall/short someone is, left or righ-handed.

We are simply not as evolved as we like to think we are.

@FellatioFan Congratulations! You`re an idiot who doesn`t know a 2-dimensional array from a flow chart.

It`s too bad I`m not gay. With a handle like that, I bet you`re pretty good at it.

"Actually, most Americans don`t know Jack $#!+ about Nazism. The vast majority of them think Nazism is a right-wing philosophy, when in fact, it is one of the purest forms of leftism. "

congratulations. you`re an idiot using a flow chart from talk radio that no educated human would take seriously.

If you want to know who hates Jews and wants to boss you around and take your stuff, look to your left.
