Are you guys aware that this is RedEye? It`s basically Jon Stewart for non-progressives.

And yes, you Jon Stewart lovers out there, this is how ridiculous your circle jerks look. Now you know.

@Andrew155 - Are you aware that Jon Stewart`s show is on Comedy Central and RedEye is on a supposed news network?

What the drat. Are these guys stupid or something. He said his greatest fear is they came and found we weren`t intelligent which is plausible. His comparison that he usually uses is between Us and the closest intellectual creature to us a Monkey. If a species is able to traverse the galaxy it`s pretty likely that our understanding pales in comparison.

Andrew the difference is Stewarts Jokes and stories make logical sense. These guys were taking something he said completely out of context. Jon Stewart is wrong sometimes but holy poo, is this what they do on this pooty ass show? If that`s the case The Daily Show and Red Eye have nothing in common.

I figure most of the Faux News talking heads would gladly take a load from any or all the Duck Dynasty rednecks, right in the face.

Repugs and Tea Party asshats lack the minimum intelligence necessary to recognize true humor, OldOllie.

    "Liberals love him" ?
Science is not liberal nor is it conservative. Science is "fact". facts like "the sky is blue", "grass is a plant", "Fox News lies".

And yes bill o`reilly, the tide goes in and out and you CAN explain it.

Most Repugs, and all Tea Party asshats, are wholly unfamiliar with facts. They think the Earth is 6000 years old and Mars is a city in the country of Idaho and Mooslims are comin` to take their gunz & jerbs!

And liberals think you can create jobs by raising taxes on employers. Which belief is more damaging to the country?

"And liberals think you can create jobs by raising taxes on employers."

Huh? Who the hell said that?

You have to raise taxes on employers so that you can fund the food stamps their employees live on because they are paid so little. Or to fund unemployment payments because the "job creators" send every possible job to third world countries.

Look you either raise taxes, or the debt goes up, or you cut spending where it doesn`t hurt the poor. You guys don`t want any of those.

In the last 40 years there were 4 years without a federal deficit. 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001. Who was president those years? Reagan? Bush? Bush2?

Taxes were raised, so the economy must have suffered. Oh whoops, enormous economic growth.

Doesn`t it suck when history doesn`t align with your opinions?

HG: "Look you either raise taxes, or the debt goes up, or you cut spending where it doesn`t hurt the poor."

Spoken like a true liberal who believes in a zero sum game, with no growth potential.

Don`t you realize that less taxes = more jobs = less unemployment = more economic growth = more revenue for the government, in the long run?

"Don`t you realize that less taxes = more jobs = less unemployment = more economic growth = more revenue for the government, in the long run?"

Well I certainly have heard that. However history doesn`t seem to agree. The only proof of that seems to be that rich people (who don`t want to pay taxes) pay other rich people (who don`t want to pay taxes either) to repeat it over and over until gullible poor people like you believe it.

I could post dozens or charts and stats that show huge periods of economic growth in the mid 50s, 60s, and mid 90s coincided with increased income tax rate, but that would be pointless. Data has a well known liberal bias.

    @HolyGod:

Listen I understand what you`re trying to say but I don`t agree at all. The four years you mentioned have little to do with the president. Congress has the "power of the purse" not the president. You`ll notice that those years you mentioned were after Newt Gingrich forced Clinton to sign the 1997 Balanced Budget and Taxpayer Relief Act and it cut $160 billion in spending between 1998 and 2002. There was also things like approval of the North American Free Trade Agreement and the World Trade Organization, welfare reform, and farm-subsidy reform. Also the economy at that time also got a boost from the dot com bubble.
The more you tax business, the more you hurt the small business owner. Small "mom and pop" shops have a very hard time dealing with tax increases and as they go under the void is filled by bigger more durable multinational corporations like walmart.

Even Obama accepted the positive effects of the bush tax cuts in helping the economy come out of the recession and made them permanent for people making less than $400,000 per year.

Ask yourself if taxes drive business, why are taxes used to stamp out smoking, fossil fuels, collecting rainwater, etc.?

You can read any economics book you choose, all will say that increasing taxes create inefficiencies that result in unemployment.

Once upon a time less taxes meant more jobs because employers could pay more people. Now it means more money in the pocket of the potential employers.

Hey, look at that, a conservative talk show that is actually funny. I liked the episode I watched. But then again it was only moderately to the right. Your standard Fox News viewer won`t like it. Could explain why it is on at 3am.
