Someone has been watching too many movies. Talk about exaggeration.
I guarantee you this story has been embellished by willing or unwilling participants.

Electric, I presume he deleted his original moan after he`d thought more about it sounding a bit silly.

I didn`t source this from that site, but they, like many other sites included "Mad Jack" in lists, compilations ect...I found the pic/story on one site and I liked it, so I did a google on the man and got two more pictures and a wiki page. I then compiled it all together in a post. Nothing was original, other than the editing, but also nothing was stolen or copyrighted by anyone. It is what we do here. We give you stuff to read, think about, talk about and argue about.
Just because my name is on the post, doesn`t mean I am seeking credit for the original content. The majority of everything that is posted on IAB is called aggregate content.

We do post Original content, but rarely. Look at Servo355`s stuff. That is an example of original content that members do here. We also do pic and gif compilations, and soon we will be doing original videos on Youtube as well.

"if you`re gonna copy someone`s work, don`t plagiarize: honour their work by at least sourcing them:

Original cracked article. It`s entry no 3"

That would assume that the people who own IAB, don`t also own the material posted at cracked.com.

However, they do.

Look at the bottom of this page and you`ll see that the copyright is for Demand Media inc., now go and view an article on cracked and look at the end for the copyright holder.....and Dada!, it`s Demand Media Inc.

No copyright theft or plagiarism when you own both sites.
It`s got to be intimidating to see a broadsword wielding Scotsman (I assume by his bagpipes) charging at you.
True (note that the Germans surrendered), but your assumption that he was Scottish is understandable but wrong. He was English.

Also, killing people with medieval weapons (he used a longbow and arrows) was psychological warfare in WW2 because of the incongruity. They also have the benefit of being silent, an important point when you`re fighting alone trying to slow the enemy`s advance.

This man is awesome :D

Also to be noted, the man who liberated the city of Zwolle in the Netherlands (near where I live), single handedly. I`m not drating around.

He also pulled something similar in a war after that. His name is Leo Major, and his wiki reads like the script of an action movie.

I researched a little. He carried a basket-hilted claymore, which is basically a 1 handed sword about 35-40 inches (88 to 101 cm)in length, weighing around 3 lbs (1.36 kg).

Still impressive though, he also carried a bow and arrow.. being the only noted man in the war to kill an enemy with a bow. Lol.

Yeah.. no way he carried a claymore with 1 hand.. looks more like a sabre, or a rapier.

.. and that ain`t no claymore. A claymore is ~4.5ft long and ~ 6lbs. That`s a stubby little thing, probably a sabre ... just like those sissy ceremonial things the Marines have. >:) .. because ceremony is the only purposeful place for a sword since ... oh ... the invention of black powder. A tomahawk on the other hand ...

No point to the sword? Tell that to the 42 Germans. It`s got to be intimidating to see a broadsword wielding Scotsman (I assume by his bagpipes) charging at you.

No point in carrying a sword into battle, it`s bulky and just gets in the way. That`s not ballsy, it`s silly, a bayonet attached to your rifle is sufficient if you run out of ammo.
