"...a feeling that professor X would regret meeting you..."

"AAAAAARRRRRGH!!! GOD-DAMMIT!!! WHY IS THAT IN THERE?!!!"

The movie, "2001:A Space Odyssey," is regarded as a great film. The truth is people were so confused about it, sometimes unknowingly, they mistook it as "art." It`s bad but, it`s based on a great story.

Example:
-The first sequence: 10 minutes of black screen and music (to hold the audience`s attention.)
-Second, 26 minutes of ape-men fighting over an easily shared pool of water. 3/4 through, an obelisk appears near an ape-man.
What the audience thinks: "Oh! Aliens came and influenced evolution!"
What they are supposed to think (after the film ends:) "Hey! The black screen was an obelisk watching us!"

No one gets it because most people are sane...

@Argus No no no, you idiot. B-25s were American, so it would have been one of the Kaiser`s Zeppelins firing a Sidewinder at it.

"intrigue, baffle, and outright confuse me."
It`s like crappy cinema or 2001 movie: Sometimes a thing is so f*cked up, people will mistake it for art...

You must have a very active, and possibly disturbing imagination.

Your comments never cease to intrigue, baffle, and outright confuse me.

"...a brutal tragedy of abject despair and suicide..."
I haven`t ready it but, I have a hypothesis about it (from play after ect...)
I suspect what we have in modern time is an abridgment of abridgments and the original play was:
Mercutio(gay) is in love with Romeo(bi) and the cows begins when Rome dumps Merc for Julie.
Then, the plot is Merc irrationally tries to re-ignite a blood-feud hoping Rome will come back to him to stop it, since their childhood friendship seemed to stop a feud previously.

"Cows kill more people than sharks."
Yeah, f*ck those cows... WAIT!!! THAT`S NOT WHAT I ME-!!!

Before I read Romeo and Juliet, I was expecting a romance story. I didn`t realise it was a brutal tragedy of abject despair and suicide. Odd that it`s become such a prevailing image of love. All the more so since it would be classed as child porn in many countries if it wasn`t for art exemptions.

"You know what would be fun? I should play the ice cream truck song out of my stereo, then watch the faces of disappointed children run out to the street seeing nothing there."

The quote, "Some men just want to watch the world burn." has never seemed more appropriate.
