I should change the difficulty settings on my books and music.

It should perhaps also be noted that this is a part of Dara O`Briain`s routine on how he`s a gamer, and it`s the one leisure activity he hasn`t given up after becoming a parent.

@McGovern If you get "it", please explain it. Please explain when there are thousands and thousands of something how the 9th largest is small. Please explain how you hate a continent of peoples of whom most have internet access. Please explain how every comment you make seems to be bashing Europeans/British and yet you moan about a bias against the USA, when none seems to rear its head.
1. If someone else makes a joke you don`t understand, it must be pretentious.
Where did I not understand it. I picked it to pieces.
2. You hate everyone from an entire continent.
No just most of the ones on the internet. They have a smug sense of superiority which got million of you killed I might add.
3. You seem to have an irony deficiency. Al Murray is a character that satirises a certain group of the British populace. Alas, this satire would be something that you don`t understand, and would therefore be pretentious. Perhaps the reason you don`t like any comedy from the ninth largest island in the world is because you consider it all pretentious, that is, you don`t understand any of it.
I get it it`s just plain not funny. Do you chant we`re number 9 we`re number 9!

@McGovern As far as I can make out, your points are these:

1. If someone else makes a joke you don`t understand, it must be pretentious.

2. You hate everyone from an entire continent.

`Now show me where the difficulty level is on Sim City for example`

I have no idea what that means.

`unfunny retard AKA European.`

Sorry, didn`t realise it was an entire continent that made made you froth. Maybe more than one continent?

Glad to see that people still remember! Now I appreciate a good computer RPG like anyone, but there was something unique about those books. You still had to use your imagination!

@Laran, I remember City of Thieves, the bugger almost made me quit the genre ...

Later I got hooked on Lone Wolf. Was easier to play and neat that the books built on each other. Oh, and Gary Chalk`s fantastic drawings! I think he also illustrated the tabletop Talisman, very cool game (if you`re still with me, sorry ... :-) )

Ok, much like UK comedy then...

Now show me where the difficulty level is on Sim City for example...this mans an unfunny retard AKA European.

McGovern1981,

Dara O`Briain is Irish. Ireland is not part of the UK. It`s another country entirely.

But don`t let that get in the way of your tedious, knee-jerk anti-British rants. It seems to make you happy and nobody here gives a tinker`s damn, so knock yourself out.

And for those do enjoy

Dara...

Yes which would be why he`s so well known outside that miserable little island. Where does it get funny again? I stand by my point. Even in the video he goes on the typical Uk I hate America rant. Lets talk about dreams and fantasy you princes and princesses.
He is Al Murray
only Europeans and Canadians will understand the humour
There`s a word for that it`s called pretentious. When nothing funny is said and you laugh for a sense of superiority.

LemonCurry, I had a few of those. That one was my first and then I got a few more like deathtrap dungeon handed down from my cousin...with all his gold and copper scores in faded pencil down the bottom of the pages.

The concept of them was simple but brilliant.

@McGovern Suggesting that (some of the) people that like Stewart Lee are pretentious is not unfair. Suggesting that people who like Dara O`Briain smacks of ignorance or trolling.

the good old paper-and-ink role playing books of the 1980s were actually like that. anyone remember steve jackson`s books? some of them were insanely difficult (prompting me to stretch the definition of "you`re dead now" slightly ... )

Regular playground games and board games are the same way.

Those aren`t forms of art though. Not really.

"No other art form does this."

Games have been around for millennia though. Just because we have video games now doesn`t mean what he`s describing is some new concept.
