I saw puppies and kitties and unicorns. Then they began to dance. Then they spoke to me, and I answered, and that`s when my husband said, "Damnit, come to bed. You`re f***ing drunk again."

Haven`t seen one of these in awhile. I can still get my eyes to cooperate with them.

Oh, cool! And, yeah...full size site helps, as does getting close and slightly crossing your eyes, but relaxing them at the same time.

@RobSwindol,
I never did it by crossing my eyes. I do it by having my eyes diverge, not converge.

You know how if you relax your focus on something the image from each eye starts to separate so you get a double image? If you let it go far enough (focusing PAST the picture, not on it) the images from each eye start to overlap and then merge. Once they`ve merged the hidden image kind of jumps out in 3-D. That`s the best way I can describe how I do it and I know I make it sound easy while it apparently isn`t for many. I always found it pretty easy for some reason I can`t explain.

forgot to say, viewing the image full-screen on the laptop made it a lot easier.

Okay, that`s really weird. I`ve had it resolve to three different levels where I could look around in the image. One was the football shapes, one was the IAB logo, and one was an interstitial shape that was the IAB logo with four eyes, layered on another sort-of-circle shape.

If you don`t normally `see` these, this is probably not the best one to start with.

These always work for me I just find it hard to outline what it is but this one I could. :-)

As the actress said to the bishop, golly, that`s a hard one.

Low contrast and not very clear. I don`t really see the I-A-B logo - it looks more like a stacked series of vertical football shapes.

Do not cross your eyes. Simply look through the screen as if you were focusing on something a few feet behind the screen.
The first one of these stereograms I ever saw was a set of boobs. Gave me a little extra incentive.
By the way, if you do manage to see it by crossing your eyes, you`ll see the inverse of what others see by focusing past it. I see a flat surface with the IAB logo popping out. Crossing your eyes will get you the IAB logo appearing carved into the surface.
I`ve even seen these that had different levels. Focus 1 foot past will get you a pyramid. 2 feet past a pyramid with the top missing. 3 feet a pyramid with something else missing, etc...

My method is to cross my eyes, then uncross them. I don`t know how to explain better than that, but it works for me.

With the picture in front of you, hold a finger up close to your eyes, then move it away from your face and closer to the screen while keeping your finger in focus AND paying some attention to the picture in the background.
Do that slowly and at some point you should be able to see the illusion.

Yes, relax your eyes, and no, no eye crossing is required.

If you`re having trouble, here`s a link to the picture, so you can open it up full screen.

It was difficult for me to see it as it is here on the site, compared to viewing it full screen.

ps: like rob says, cross your eyes :D

Wow... The descriptions you guys are writing on how to make these illusions work are laughable.

"Relax your eyes."

NO, You Moron!!! You literally have to cross your eyes in order to see the illusion.

In order to see this, get as close as you can until your eyes can`t docus correctly, then go back some until you start to see shapes. Just five minutes later you can see the shape that`s supposed to be there ... maybe.

just relax your eyesd, you are trying to find a focus point that isn`t really there. Ideally have your eyes about a foot away from the screen and gently let them focus somewhere behind the picture.

I lost 80% of my vision in one eye, I can`t see these anymore. :(
3D movies still work oddly enough.
