Overdose was the wrong word. Getting way "higher" than you intended would be more accurate.

@Geoffwashere, Argustuft is right... you cannot overdose on marijuana! I`m not sure of the required quantities needed to `technically overdose` on edibles but for context a single person would have to smoke 40,000 joints IN AN HOUR to overdose on pot... that`s one joint every .09 seconds (if I did my math right). Judging by those stats a human literally could not eat enough edibles fast enough to be able to overdose on them! They would have a hell of a nasty ass long trip though....

Seems weird that the teacher would ask a student for food (unless it was a potluck).

Minimum charge should we attempted murder. I had a friend in high school who died after eating a small amount of marijuana poisoned brownie.

"The Merck Index lists the LD50 (dosage of a certain chemical which will kill half of a population given that dosage) of pure THC to be 42 mg per kg of body weight for rats when the THC is inhaled."

Every chemical has an LD50. THC`s is rather high, but it does exist. The above quote only references "inhaled marijuana cigarettes" though. I did not find numbers on other ways of ingesting THC.

Geoff, sorry, have to correct you. Can`t overdose on pot. Medically impossible. You can get very very very wasted, but there is no overdose.
That`s a myth.

Almost as easy as taking drugs from a baby!

Edible marijuana is quite an issue in my state of Colorado (legal here). You can take it anywhere, get high anywhere, kids might have access to it, and it is very easy to overdose with it.

I doubt there are really any hard core drunks like there were in the 80`s. You might have gotten that really anxious teacher. It was the 80`s.

The teacher then proceeded to drink a fifth of not at all dangerous alcohol to forget the psychedelic experience.

Should not be charged she asked.
I used to drink weed tea in class often. You add some maple syrup and it just smells like tea.
Green tea. Made dealing with everyone much easier.
