Deepest Darkest Fears [Pix]

Submitted by: LordJim 3 years ago in Entertainment

Illustrator Fran Krause asked people to tell him their weirdest and most irrational fears to turn them into witty comics. Sometimes these irrational fears can be traced from the early childhood memories or come as a result of some vivid world explanations grown-ups used to tell you. But sometimes, however, they are just inexplicable. The project, which started with Krauses own phobias, now features comics of more than a hundred of craziest and darkest fears readers sent him. When reading through the comics, you can see that even though your fears might be silly, they arent that uncommon.

I must be a very simple man. I can`t say I`ve ever experienced any of these and if I did as a kid, they weren`t significant enough for me to remember. I did find it interesting to read and some of them did make me wonder but only for a second or two. I guess my darkest fears are too realistic and no where near as intricate or creative as these.

These make me feel so much better about my fears: I worry about having surgery and waking up in the middle and feeling all the pain - but everyone in the room thinks I`m still under.
Also, the one about dying and being aware still...shiver!
Oh, and I fear that spiders are crawling into my orifices and planting little spiderette eggs that will hatch and eat me. (I have a huge spider bite right now and I swear it`s trying to consume my leg!) I`m gonna go get some more hydrogen peroxide...

These are fun.

Sometimes when I`m showing in the bath, I think I`ll slip and smash my head on the faucet, paralysing myself. I think some part of me will plug the drain and I`ll lie there for hours as the bath gradually fills up and drowns me.

Ferdy,
y`know I never dealt well with the idea of being put in the ground either. Always liked the crypt idea, or even cremation is fine. Don`t even need a key - but no frekin` burial! I`ve always wondered why.

@Ferdy
And people say I`m weird for believing in the bodily resurrection. ;)

Pretty stupid, but I dont want to be buried, nor Cremated, I want to be put in a crypt, with a key to get out.
6 foot under just scares the crap outta me, Cremation is a better option, out of the two, but lay me in a crypt, with a phone, and key. I will put this in my will, and all the money I have have will go to building this. Sod the relatives !

I used to always have to have my legs under the covers when i went to bed, else leg amputees would come out from under my bed and steal my legs (specifically Terry Fox... canadians know him)

Many years ago while my band was touring Holland, they put a bald-headed mannequin in my bed one night. When I looked in the room and saw that bald head peeping up from the covers, my heart sank into my stomach. My first thought was ...

Of course, I could have been lucky ...

But I wasn`t.

I fear living in a cardboard box, under a bridge. Oops, I`d better get back to work.
