Some of this seems great but then as it goes on I am skeptical. What do you think, is it heartfelt or hogwash I-A-B?

I notice the entire lack of children in any of these. Just go ahead and try to do any of this with kids around... Love my boys, but there`s no energy left when I finally have a few minutes to myself to do anything I enjoy.

"don`t question anything you do in the first fifteen minutes" - I can just see the severed fingers.

"let go of the past"- Why? so I can repeat the same mistakes over and over? It`s called experience, and it protects me.

"Purge your belongings"- It took me ages to get them, throwing them away would be wasteful and stupid.

I don`t think this person has any clue about life.

"say no when you mean it"

LOL, we all know women say know when they are undecided. Alcohol helps them decide.

@PopCap, guess your a Jobs fan. I never wished Jobs ill and I am sad he is dead. Even if he was alive and well, I wouldn`t want his form of luck. I would be a great deal sadder if I was richer. That should answer your unrelated questions.

My point, which you missed, was that I take exception with someone like Jobs saying what he said. Of course Jobs had the luxury of doing what he wanted everyday. That is not reality for just about everyone else. There are hard working, smart people that are held back from Jobs type of freedom by morals, ethics, laws, or circumstances.

@GeoffwasHere, I don`t think we would know his name if he wasn`t both smart and an non-nice individual.

@ Steve Jobs: If it were the last day of my life, I`d eat like, 3 whole pepperoni pizzas while I lazed on the recliner on my porch with my kids enjoying the view of the mountains drinking as many Dr. Peppers as I wanted because tomorrow doesn`t matter. So I`d better not do that every day or I will die soon.

@OverTime: Steve Jobs was a flawed human just as we all are. But, he was brilliant in many ways.

The old adage is that people know what they want and that the customer is always right. Steve Jobs`s method was that people don`t know what they want until I give it to them. He succeeded with this philosophy. He was a brilliant sales man.

He also knew a thing or two about the future of technology people would want.

Bollocks. sleep hygiene is a good idea, although the glass of water one is a no no for some of us. Most people do jobs they are not keen on so they have the money to live, self help crap like this makes a lot of people feel awful as it implies that you are the reason your life is poo. Sad fact, not everyone can do a job they love, have a fabulous life with great hair. BTW- if I relax my mouth the most inappropriate poo comes out...

Steve Jobs is dead, OverTime. Is that not good enough for you? Would you like to be "lucky" like him?

I`m also going to add that a lot of people who do manage to become wealthy do so by drating over other people, just like Steve Jobs. A great many people fail to become wealthy simply because they have a conscience that wont let them walk all over others. Sad that Steve Jobs is an inspiration.

"Every morning I asked myself: `If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?`" -Steve Jobs

What a drating prick! He had that luxury because he was wealthy. He was wealthy because he got lucky. There were thousands of smart people who were building computers and busting ass trying to make something of it. All of those people who didn`t make it wake up in the morning and think, "I drating have to do what I am about to do today!"

Clueless hogwash. If your life is so easy you can concern yourself with nonsense like "having an alter-ego" or "letting the silence be," you`re unfit to give advice to anyone in the real world.

It`s a jungle out there!

Here`s something I realized a couple years ago: the brain isn`t technically a muscle, but you can train it the same way. If you react to situations negatively, it will become like muscle memory. You need to train it to think more positively by reminding yourself to react in a different way. Eventually, it will become your first reaction.

Another thing to remember is that cynicism doesn`t really accomplish much.

Sounds like your standard women`s magazine`s "advice". 90% BS and 10% random factoids.
