Behold The $5000 Burger! [Pic]

Lets face it, America has a borderline dangerous obsession with the burger. Restraining order status. With limitless variations and recipes the burger has become a medium for restaurants to concoct entire menus from. Coastal varieties like Californias In-n-Out burger and New Yorks Shake Shack have established themselves by highlighting one delicious patty served in a variety of styles, but leave it to Fabulous Las Vegas to really take things up a notch. Fleur, a restaurant located in the Mandalay Bay Hotelnow has a $5,000 burger on the menu. The burger is made of wagyu beef with foie gras, full black truffles, a truffle soaked bun and served with a bottle of 1995 Chateau Petrus. Happy feasting.

And SURPRISE it”s not from Mcdonald”s!

Me eating that would be pearls before swine. I`d probably think "yeah, it`s alright, but I`d have enjoyed a Whopper and large Dr. Pepper just as much."

It just looks so disgusting... I think the people who appreciate this kind of food don`t eat hamburgers.

To be fair, you`re paying mostly for one ingredient. You see the chocolate shake in the last photo? It`s made from chilled unicorn diarrhea. Very hard to get and pricey. They say it tastes a bit nutty ...

This level of excess is just disgusting. I hope whoever orders it, chokes on it.

And at the end of the meal the patron who orders this should be quietly shot in the back of the head and his body dumped on Wall Street as a warning to the rest of the greedy douchbags.

Nope, I`d rather have a homemade hamburger made from scratch and I can put anything I want on it. Saying that, I don`t really go crazy with the toppings either.

I`m with abby regarding burgers. Plain with some onion, maybe, and ketchup. Others like more, of course. This concoction looks awful and is stupid. I have a feeling I`d also prefer to eat at McDonald`s than at the type of place that comes up with this.

A truly great burger is not thicker than the bun. Wasted Wagyu.
