Submitted by: irred 3 years ago in Science

You might have heard the theory, but do you know that adult cats hold on to kitten-like behavior?

It`s "all of the above". >^..^<

Yes, scent glands are in use.
Yes, they`re showing how happy & safe they feel.
Yes, it`s because they love their humans.
(Although they `trample` other things too, especially when they`re about to lay down for a snooze).

@CrakrJak: You going to watch the "Fargo" TV show on April 15? Same night as the "Blood Moon" eh?

That`s really the whole basis of domestication. We essentially keep them in a perpetual state of childhood.

@pmarren
Good question. An even better one is how would *your* guts compare from the same wood chipper?

Here dickwad dickwad dickwad... FOOM!

In the interest of all humanity, please conduct this experiment at your earliest convenience.

A better question would be; why do cat guts stick to the trees when I feed them through the wood chipper?

Here kitty kitty kitty... FOOM!

Cool story, but there are scent glands on every part of their body, which is why they rub things with their head and and their sides and such.
